California Would Re-elect Bush, Poll Shows
He may have lost California by a whopping 1.3 million votes in 2000, but George Bush would now win the state with 52 percent of the vote, a new poll shows.
Moreover, according to the non-partisan Field Poll Bush would defeat Al Gore - the man who took California handily in the 2000 election, with Bush now getting 48 percent to 41 percent for Gore.
Writing in the San Diego Union-Tribune, reporter John Marelius reported that when asked how inclined they were to vote for the president's re-election in 2004, 52 percent of voters said they were inclined to vote for Bush, compared with 42 percent who said they were not. The remaining 6 percent had no opinion.
A huge 87 percent of Republicans said they are overwhelmingly inclined to re-elect Bush, and a surprising 26 percent of Democrats said they would vote for him as well. Only among independents and members of minor political parties did Bush lag, with 43 percent inclined to vote for him and a hefty 51 percent turning thumbs down on the president.
Among Latinos, a group Bush lost in 2000, a solid majority of 58 percent told the Field Poll they were inclined to support Bush's re- election this time. Among other minority groups, however, 77 percent of African-American voters said they were not inclined to vote for the president, as did 50 percent of Asian- Americans.
The Field Poll interviewed 705 registered California voters reached by phone between April 19-25. The margin of error is 3.8 is percentage points.
If Bush's mid-term coat tails are strong enough in November, the poll should be good news for GOP gubernatorial candidate Bill Simon, now running ahead of Governor Grey Davis in the polls.

Whazzzup in KALI land? Hope this carries all the way through 2004. That's a lotta electoral votes and it sure would be a major drain on the RAT coffers to have to fight this battle.

Too bad Gore won't get the nomination in 2004. In California, Bush would have a tough time beating a yuppie like Johnny Edwards.

"Danger Will Robinson!!!"
Anybody who knows the electorate of California knows this is just a product of
people being polled who don't want to look unpatriotic or insane.
When the election comes, it doesn't matter who the Democratic Presidential Candidate is...
the mind-numbed feel-good robots will return to the hive and vote for the Democrat.
Otherwise you wouldn't have disasters like Gray Davis, Senators Feinstein and Boxer and
a one-party rule system for years in California.

The findings of this poll and a dollar might buy you a cup of coffee. Let's see if Davis gets drummed out of office first, before we make any predictions about the likely shift of California to the 'Red' column in the electoral returns.

Now you know why Bubba Arkancide is considering a morning talk show ... the Cintonite 'New Democrats' have known for about 60 days that Bush not only could win California, but that he has strong support all over the country. Bush might even win a couple of entrenched Democratic states in the North East.
Did you notice when Hitlery was asked, 'What do you think of your husband's rumored plans to do a morning network talk show"' ..... she turned stone faced and said, 'News to me.' ...My bs.bs.bs.bs detector s going off loudly.
Hitlery must be behind the plan to have Bubba on the tube apologizing to foreign powers and trolling for bribe money so Hitlery might have a chance to run for the Presidency....
If Bill Clinton signs up for a talk show he will undermine everything Bush has accomplished thus far. Clintonites are like Muslims ... they are all rabid animals and corrupt to the bone.
Just watch what happens.

In California, Bush would have a tough time beating a yuppie like Johnny Edwards. In the last Zogby poll concerning potential Democratic candidates for 2004, among likely Democratic voters, Edwards did not even REGISTER.
He is a figment of the press.

George Bush would now win the state with 52 percent of the vote, a new poll shows. I'd like to be optimistic about this, but the realist in me says that come election time, Al Gore with his lies and the media with their constant and ubiquitous barrage of "evil, uncaring, tax-cuts-for-the-rich, throw-grandma-on-the-street, let-poor-families-starve Republican" stories will return things in California to the same safe bastion of Democrat votes.

But Bubba would take a
*part-time positon* ... So he would happily accept a job on ABC on Sundays ... or CBS on Sunday or NBC on Sundays.
Rest my case.

THIS IS GREAT NEWS! ... IT INDICATES THAT SIMON CAN BEAT DAVIS. BUSH NEEDS TO GO FULL_BORE AND GET SIMON ELECTED. THEN HE WILL HAVE A STRONG BASE TO DEFEND IN 2004!
And if Bush wins CA, the numbers are simply near-impossible for any Bush opponent. Bush would have to merely win the other states that he wwon in 2000 by comfortable margins.
