ARAFAT SET FREE; CHURCH SET ON FIRE:

Palestinian Authority Chairman Yasser Arafat defiantly left his Ram'Allah compound Thursday for the first time in over a month following the IDF's withdrawal on Wednesday night.
Arafat toured Ram'Allah in the morning and told Palestinians that the first priority was to rebuild the Palestinian cities. Arafat called the Beit Lechem siege a "religious crime" [It was the PLO that burst into the church and held the hostages in the church, not the IDF--ed].

Meanwhile, in a clearly orchestrated move, at the very same time that the military blockade was lifted on Arafat in Ram'Allah, the Palestinian gunmen holding hostages in the Church of the Nativity in Beit Lechem under Arafat's orders ignited fires in two places inside the church complex. An Israeli Army spokesman, Lt. Col. Olivier Rafowicz said Israel had proposed that Palestinian firemen be sent to put out the blaze, but that Palestinians inside refused, and were apparently then able to extinguish the blaze themselves. The Palestinians in the church then opened fire from inside the church. While Arafat's forces burned the church and shot at Israeli forces Arafat proceeded to exploit his men's work by shouting hysterically to the international media covering the lifting of the siege that Israel was burning down the church and called for emergency action against Israel.

In another development, the fact that Arafat personally approved terrorist funding for Fatah has now become "unequivocally clear." So announced the Prime Minister's Office Friday, based on the questioning of senior Fatah terrorists in Israeli custody, including Marwan Barghouti. It has also been learned that explosive charges used by the terrorists were supplied from the PA/PLO's own weapons depots. Israeli investigators have learned that Fatah head Marwan Barghouti, who maintained direct communications with Arafat, transferred money to Fatah operatives specifically for attacks targeting and killing many Israeli civilians. Barghouti, who admitted to directing terrorist attacks that resulted in the killing and injuring of scores of Israeli civilians, described in detail the transfer of funds to the terrorist operatives. He was responsible for providing the funding for weapons acquisition and armed operations, and said that every terrorist request for funds was accompanied by a detailed requisition request. Barghouti would add his recommendation and signature, and then relay the request to PA/PLO Chairman Arafat. Barghouti stressed that every expense, no matter how small, required Arafat's personal approval. The funds were then transferred to the operatives according to the instructions of Hakem Bil'awi, the Secretary of the Fatah Central Committee. Nasser Aweis, head of the Fatah infrastructure in Samaria, was responsible for the recruiting, arming and handling of terrorist cells. He confirmed that he and other Tanzim terrorist operatives under his command received funding directly approved by Yasser Arafat. Aweis admitted to having been behind numerous terrorist bombings and shootings in Israel, including the murder of six Bat Mitzvah celebrants in Hadera, as well as several shooting attacks in Jerusalem and elsewhere that killed eight Israelis. Nasser Abu Hamid, a commander and founder of the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigades and who was also arrested during Operation Defensive Shield, revealed during questioning that he and his men received funding and weapons from Marwan Barghouti, through the latter's aide Ahmed Barghouti. Abu Hamid and his men were responsible for numerous shooting attacks, explosive charges and suicide bombings, resulting in the deaths of at least six Israelis - including the Kahane couple. The Prime Minister's Office notes that the details of this terrorist connection, as described by the senior Fatah/Tanzim figures themselves, were corroborated by many documents captured in various PA/PLO security organ offices during Operation Defensive Shield. ............................

:: PA/PLO BOMBS BUILT BY IRA?: The IRA [Irish Republican Army] has been teaching Palestinian terrorists to build booby-trap bombs for use against Israeli soldiers, according to a British explosives expert working in the Jenin terrorist camp. Paul Collinson, a former Royal Engineers bomb disposal officer working for the Red Cross, said the devices he has found are identical to those he encountered in Northern Ireland. He said he discovered more than 200 explosive devices while working in the camp. He is convinced the bombs were either supplied by the IRA or made under their supervision. ............................

Isn't it just as, if not more likely that the IRA might have been getting its bombs from the PLO? It would be just like Arafat to export munitions produced with Saudi funds for a profit. Buying power through volume purchasing, don't you know.

I agree that makes a lot of sense...the PLO helping the IRA instead of the other way around.

But don'tcha think all the terrorists help each other out?

I think Saudi money and Arab distribution via immigration may be the common denominator. Remember that terrorists such as the IRA (on an island) have had relatively few options for weapons vendors over the last 30 years: communists (the East Bloc until ten years ago, mob manufacturing in Russia now, and China picking up where Russia left off), increasingly rare rogue manufacturers with poor distribution (South America, South Africa, Pakistan, etc.), and our friends the Arabs. They have immigrant representatives in every European country, a venue for secret meetings (mosques), a code (Arabic), and an independent, cash-based banking system.

It seems so obvious that the lack of reporting on it would appear complicit, as it likely is.

They have immigrant representatives in every European country...

Not to mention this country and Canada...

a venue for secret meetings (mosques)

It is interesting that thousands of churches in Europe are now Mosques. It is happening here now too and they are so nice and "tolerant" of our beliefs until they become a majority.

a code (Arabic), and an independent, cash-based banking system.

And of course Arafat says the same things in Arabic as he does in English...yea rite. And a great deal of that cash still comes from the Saudis...don't "we" get it yet?

It seems so obvious that the lack of reporting on it would appear complicit, as it likely is.

LOL at appear and excuse my strikeout...

Thanks for the post. This is the most detailed overview I've read so far.

I agree with Carry_Okie and you about the PLO probably helping the IRA. The Saudi money and Arab distribution channel as described by Carry_Okie make a whole lot of sense.

Insofar as "appear" and "likely" are concerned, I am always willing to assume innocent complicity in the ubiquity of the self-deluding idiots in the media. Such are more useful than calculating liars, as they report their doctrinaire opinions with total sincerity, betraying no evidence of deliberate subversion. So in terms of total effect, I would put the larger fraction of the media omissions and bias to effective public schooling rather than calculated misinformation.

Besides, it's more amusing to have puppets begging for promotion to Dummy First Class than to manage a claque of ambitious back-stabbers.

He's using smoke signals or what?

Surely the cellphones needed charging? Or did they forget to cut the phone lines and just figured the loud noises they were blaring would do the trick?

Explain again the split-second timing? How does that work?

Surely, you jest. They have been in touch with Arafat all throughout the negotiations and have even said that without SPECIFIC instructions from him, they would not surrender. Arafat has a negotiating team right there.
Here is an example of how Ara operates. He tells his commandos that if they EVER hear him call for a ceasefire, THEY are to step up the attacks immediately. Yes, there is proof. And the media will not tell you.
Here is what media has not told anyone. And there is so much more.

Arafat's negotiating team has some kind of carte blanche contact unwitnessed by anyone else or the Israelies in order to coordinate stunts like this?

Your drama -- on top of the ongoing Nativity Scene -- are a little much to bear sometimes.

Are the Israelies allowing the negotiating team to spirit away the "stolen goods" lifted by the Palestinians still inside? I don't understand.

Askel, your entire self delusion is too much to bear sometimes. You can't possibly be as utterly stupid as you appear.
