I don't think it was written by rural types either. It sounds like know-it-all, psuedo-intellectual left wing nut stuff. You typically find those in the cities. If it were right wing, CNN would be spraying it all over the place.

If the note was written by a right wing redneck, I would think that they would be griping about high taxes and government actions in debacles like Waco, and maybe something about our government being too socialist. It would be that kind of stuff. General statements about oppression and fearing death just don't fit.
