You can agree with John politically, but I guess some people are missing the point that he should not make a threat like this in public, even jokingly, about killing a member of parliament.

I agree. It is not okay for anyone to publicly threaten the life of a politician or a journalist. If Fisk or Galloway were targeted in any way then this would be an extremely serious issue. Even now, it is likely that the British government will refuse to issue him with a visa if he wants to return there.
