It will be very interesting, to see the reaction of the Hard-Core "W" fans, if she accepts. As matter of fact, at the same time some in the DemonRat party are running away from the issue of guns. This flirtation with the HCI/MMM/AGS gun grabbers, would be virtual political suicide for "W".

It's hardly likely.

Yeah, you're right. The MMM is yesterday's tired news.

I'll just bet your little heart skipped a beat
waiting for the chance to bash Bush some more,
didn't it? I'll bet you Bush-bashers are just
waiting for Laura to accept, just so you can trash
her too, aren't you? Well, you'll be waiting an
awfull long time, because Laura isn't a political
fiend like Hillary is. If that makes me a so-called
Bush fan, to write this, then so be it!

On the other hand, maybe she WOULD accept an invitation to endorse the Second Amendment Sisters.

Suggested text of Mrs. Bush's reply:
Dear Ms. Bleck: I am flattered to be offered a chance to join your organization. As you may know, I am a champion of children around the world, and their safety and wellbeing is of paramount importance to both me and my husband. Having two teenage daughters ourselves, we understand the value of family, and the many dangers present in this uncertain world.
However, concerned as I am about the world's young people, I do not believe additional gun control laws will protect them. In fact, I have heard substantiated evidence to the contrary, that locales with responsible concealed carry laws and strong gun training programs actually have a lower incidence of violent crime than areas where gun control is strictest.
Let me respond to your kind offer by extending an invitation to you: please join George and I in pushing for stronger gun training programs and safe, sane concealed carry laws. If you are truly concerned about the safety of our young people, I am sure you will recognize the value of such legislation in your community.
I look forward to working with you to promote gun safety and the wellbeing America's children.

It will be very interesting, to see the reaction of the Hard-Core "W" fans, if she accepts. That will be interesting, however, the reaction of Bush Bashers, (Which probably includes you), IS predictable.
With barely a "The fact she DIDN'T join doesn't prove a d*mn thing" and you'll rush on to another issue to try and undermine them with.
To: ozone1
Maybe she could join the march with a .45 in her belt.
To: mlibertarianj
Bush has already committed political suicide in many other ways, why not have the first lady help him with more.

CA and New Jersey MOMS will be unveiling billboards to highlight priority bills in their states. Yeah right, they really need some more gun control laws in CA and NJ. I hear there are still some loopholes that let a few people own guns in those states.

Correction: "Please join George and me ..."
Hopefully, the First Lady can remember the difference between nominative and objective case better than her would-be speech writer.

I hope and pray God gives wisdom to Laura Bush to remain non-commital on this issue. The forces that propel Bleck and the organization will try to undermine the credibility of Laura Bush, hence, forcing the same on our President.....May she remain steadfast in her faith and do what is best for the country and not become entangled in the 'web of deceit'.

Engrave your answer in hot lead, Laura!

I hope and pray God gives wisdom to Laura Bush to remain non-commital on this issue.Non-commital?? Why on earth should she remain non-commital? One side of the debate is based on sound constitutional principles, and strengthens the freedoms of non government employees, at the expense of their paid "servants". The other side would further emasculate the freedoms of citizens with jobs, to the benefit of collectivist elements within the government, as well as compromising the peoples ability to protect themselves against violent crime, whether perpetrated by a mugger on the street or under the color of authority.
Uh, yeah, sure, I can see merit to both sides here (NOT)!
