Pretty sad when this is the best spin the move-on crowd can put on this. Hey, didn't you folks assure us that if we just ignored Clinton he'd fade into obscurity? Doesn't look like Bush is with the "program" on this ... does it? All I can say is the contents of those FBI files must have been pretty damaging to Republicans and Bush for them not only to ignore the crimes the democRATS committed but openly make amends to Clinton. And where are the rest of the move-on'ers? What happened? Did you guys draw straws and you got the short one?
That pretty much sums up my feelings on this as well.
My first reaction was to fault Bush for involving ImpBill in any official capacity in his administration, but it does get him away from any important foreign policy issues, and gets him away from America for a while.
I can only hope that the usual fawning press is so upset about being sent to this small out of the way place that they will be disinterested in making a big deal of it.

Bush is a fool to even consider an IMPEACHED former president as some kind of official envoy, let alone sanction a visit.
The political effect of this will be to elevate Bubba-1. One more reason for the press to fawn over him,and one more "reason" for the Dims to later claim Bubba-2 NEEDED the help of Bubba-1 because he is incompetent when it comes to foreign affairs.
As usual,the only real winner here is Bubba-1. Unless he uses his time there to work oil deals and other contracts for the Bush family,that is. He surely has the contacts,and this is about the only way he can visit with his old pals,who fled the USA to keep from facing criminal charges or being forced to testify.
A big AMEN to that! Do any of you 'I'm never gonna vote for him againers' ever think there may be some method to GW's 'madness'? BTW, did you ever vote for him in the first place?
