My daughter and two friends were checking into the Gallatin Super 8 this weekend and when one party fell over an obstacle, they wanted to see management. Pakistanis appeared but would not speak or give their names....they prevented the girls from taking pictures of the obstacle...this suspicious behavior was reported to the FBI in Richmond on return who said to call the Tennessee FBI, as they could not be troubled with things outside of Virginia... duuuuh local FBI ? ....the girls went to a Hilton property where they were treated royally as usual...INS was also contacted and had no interest " since they had no office in Gallatin". What a perfect way to move terrorists and illegals around without attracting suspicion...just own a scad of motels along the interstates which the Arabs do .... I am disgusted with the response of the FBI and INS but have come to expect shoddiness from our gubbimint agencies.

FBI agents are the dumbest of the dumb. And expect it to get even worse as they continue their current hiring bonanaza...no doubt with an emphaisis on DIVERSITY. Doesn't that fill you with confidence for the safety of your family?

Can you give me a little more info on this? It sounds a little confusing - were the Pakistanis employees? What kind of obstacle did they trip on? I have family in Gallatin & Nashville.

A police officer tried to report a suspicious road stop recently. He tried to call the local FBI office only to hear a recording saying that due to the holiday there was no one in the office. I think it was during Easter holiday.

This is inexcusable. They talk about homeland security and how they are doing a much better job these days but when they blow off a report then they need to be held accountable.

I have thought for some time that the hotel chains in this country are suspect. We stayed in a hotel in Tucson back in October that had middle eastern managers and the next time we drove to Tucson the hotel had changed names and gotten new managers! Coincidence, maybe, but we also had a police incident take place with 2 guys and a brown bag left suspiciously outside their room WHILE WE WERE STAYING THERE! I wondered at the time about that business, but really wondered after I saw the name change and new management so soon after that...

Yes, the FBI has resident agencies (RA's in their vernacular) that only deal with issues within their area. Don't know what to say about the INS.

Sikhs own all those hotels along the interstates. Several Sikh families, who started out cleaning rooms, own vast numbers of hotels and motels now.

They are not Arabs, and I doubt many of them are Pakistanis since they are second only to Hindus on the Moslem "most despised" lists!

It's somewhat difficult to keep this stuff straight, but the Sikhs either have big turbans and massive beards, or they are clean cut. They organize their temples pretty much the same way most Protestants do except when there is a congregational faction fight they all have these ceremonial daggers they wear and ...... well, it can get rough.

Hindus are NOT Moslems. Indian Moslems are fairly much outside this Arab generated conflict. Pakistanis can be quite Westernized unless they are from a poor village and then they are quite old fashioned. If they are from the Tribal Territories you probably couldn't differentiate between them and your typical Afghan, and those guys belong to a dozen or so different nationalities that speak different languages and may be Shi'ite or Sunni!

I have neighbors that qualify under each category. Most of them are nice people. Many of them have been refugees. As is frequently the case, they are all quite liberal compared to the folks "back home".

Do you know where your Afghans are tonight? I do. They are across the street feeling snug and secure.

Re: the incident with the FBI -- in my hometown a Moslem man moved in and rented an airplane hanger to "start an airplane painting business." The FBI was informed through a policeman in a nearby larger city, and the FBI paid him a visit in helicopters.
