Be nice, you guys. Otherwise I'll point my finger at you and go "Bang!"

Your finger is no match for my automatic assault chicken finger.

"School safety is the Cherry Creek School District's first concern and the primary concern of parents who entrust their children to our care every day," said district spokeswoman Tustin Amole. "Our handling of this incident is well within the boundaries of district policy and common sense."And this "politically correct"® government indoctrination lackey defines common sense in WHAT way?

fourth-grade boys were being suspended for the rest of the day for pointing their fingers like guns during a game of army-and-aliens on the playground. The violation of the jurisdiction of these boys and their parents is appaling. These people need a lesson on Zero tolerance on treading on my rights, and they need to go see head doctors or jail.

When fingers are outlawed, only outlaws will have fingers.

If I was the parent in this situation, I would make sure the facts are correct....(nothing more than a child's game that has been played since the beginning of time) and stop first at a damned good attorney's office & then at every newsroom in the city. Morons are contolling our children.

Maybe they should shave their heads and make them march around with signs on saying "This could be you". I tell you what, parents are absolute idiots for putting up with this outrageous violation of these children. Just what would it take to have parents wake up. Obviously, it's something so dreadful I shudder to think.

"The Student Policy and Discipline Handbook defines "violent and aggressive behavior" as "threats directed, either orally (including by telephone), by non-verbal gesture, or in writing, at an individual, his or her family or a group." Under "intimidation/bullying," the code includes "any written or verbal expression, physical act or gesture, or a pattern thereof, that is intended to cause distress upon one or more students."Written so a 10-year-old could understand? And it didn't even cover pointed fingers? (But what if they come at us with pointed sticks?)
Put the principal on probation.

Were this my child, I would be down to the school and pull him/her out in a heartbeat. Then I would slap a suit against the school board, principle and teacher for interference with parenting, terrorism of a minor and assault. They may not fly but it would get their attention.

Orwell was right.

What I am wondering is where are these so-called conservative and libertarian think tanks like Independence Institute while all this is going on? Thinking? Issuing pronouncements? That won't get it done. These Zero Tolerance people are Nazis. Someone is needed to take them on in the courts and make an example of them - sue them, beat them, fire them and deport them. Who will step up?

Mr. Head backed the district on that decision, saying that society has a legitimate interest in knowing where the guns are. Wrong, Richard.
