Dems Cry Foul as Bush Breaks Clinton Fund-Raising Record

President Bush set a single-event fund-raising record Tuesday night with a Washington, D.C., cash bash that was expected to yield $30 million.

"The hot story out of Washington tonight is that Bush is there raising $30 million in one dinner, which is setting a record," reported "Hotline" publisher Craig Crawford to WABC's Radio's John Batchelor and Paul Alexander.

Clinton had set the previous single-night fund-raising record with a $26.5 million take, Crawford noted.

No wonder Democrats spent most of Tuesday trying to spin the Republican Party's sale of a Bush photo - price, a meager $150 - into a major fund-raising scandal.

The picture, snapped aboard Air Force One as Bush spoke to Vice President Cheney just hours after the 9/11 attacks, has the usual suspects feigning outrage.

"That the Republican Party sees no problem with this profit-from-pain scheme says a lot about the moral state of the party," Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., told the Associated Press. Nadler's Manhattan district included the World Trade Center.

Democratic Party Chairman Terry McAuliffe said selling the Bush photo was "nothing short of grotesque" and added, "Even the most cynical partisan operative would have cowered at the notion of exploiting the Sept. 11 tragedy."

Perhaps it's not too late for McAuliffe & Co. to capitalize on Bill Clinton's defining presidential moments.

Surely a photo of F.O.B. Charlie Trie delivering a paper sack stuffed with $600,000 to the Clinton Defense Fund might fetch even more than $150.

Not to mention those steamy audiotapes of Bill and Monica's phone sex chats rumored to be floating around.

Have the Democrats all been taken over by aliens from outer space who lack any real understanding of human politics? Where's the real Democrats? These fake ones aren't even worth responding to.

What are the Democraps complaining about? Bush signed CFR, didn't he? Heck, I thought I didn't have to worry anymore about having to read stories about fund raising.

Silly me, for thinking that Congress actually solves problems with their legislation (not that campaign finance reform was ever on my radar screen).

Any photos of Bill Clinton's defining Presidential moments would be X-rated. Well, except for the "finger waggle" photo. That will always be the classic defining moment to me.

"That the Republican Party sees no problem with this profit-from-pain scheme says a lot about the moral state of the party,"

What gives the rights of those over-imaginative scum bags to take the role of prosecuting political parishioners? Why should we trust their designs and policies if they exercise the type of political vigilantism that only seeks to violate the jurisdictions of their Republican kins? It seems to me these behaviors are very suspicious and smell of a latent paranoia and conspiratorial behavior amongst Dems.

The day house will be cleaned, these people will be fair game.

Those Democrats who have a problem with Republicans selling a picture that is owned by the Republicans, never seemed to mind Clinton selling the Lincoln Bedroom …. And THAT belongs to us!

Watch for Katie Couric/Bryant Gum-ball/Charlie Gibson to lead with this story this AM. People need to understand the outrage. Something must be done!

"The hot story out of Washington tonight is that Bush is there raising $30 million in one dinner, which is setting a record," reported "Hotline" publisher Craig Crawford to WABC's Radio's John Batchelor and Paul Alexander.

And they do it all legally.

Clinton had set the previous single-night fund-raising record with a $26.5 million take, Crawford noted.

And how much of that was illegal?

No wonder Democrats spent most of Tuesday trying to spin the Republican Party's sale of a Bush photo - price, a meager $150 - into a major fund-raising scandal.

The picture, snapped aboard Air Force One as Bush spoke to Vice President Cheney just hours after the 9/11 attacks, has the usual suspects feigning outrage.

Strange. They didn't have any problems with this picture:

Or this one:

(In return for a $20,000 donation to the Democratic National Committee (part of which came from cocaine smuggled to the United States from Columbia according to investigators), drug trafficker Jorge Cabrera was invited to dinner with Vice President Gore. A little over a week later, he was invited to a Christmas reception and met and posed with First Lady Hillary Clinton. According to the New York Times, April 4, 1997, at the time these photos were taken, Cabrera had two felony drug convictions. Since that time, he was arrested for smuggling 3 tons of cocaine into Florida. He pled guilty and was sentenced to 19 years in prison. )

Or this one:

(Here we have a photo taken at an official DNC fundraiser with Bill and Hillary posed with Ng Lap Seng, Macau Crime Lord who controls Prostitution in that region. His Fortuna Hotel is actually a high class bordello where young girls (often underage) are available for a price. Ng, through his American contact Charlie Trie, donated close to a million dollars to the Democrats. )

Or this one:

(Vice President Al Gore accepts a gift from Master Hsing Yun at the Hsi Lai Temple outside Los Angeles in April 1996 during a fundraiser at the Temple. )

Excellent reply!

And let's not forget while were on the subject of fund raising-- the Lincoln bedroom, sold for an evening; Arlington Cemetary, plots sold to the highest bidder (utter contempt for our servicemen); the oval office, a bordello (Reagan was never caught without his coat and tie while in that room and the demonrats use it as a Roman bath).

The dems are just trying the best they know how (and can't come up with ANYTHING suitable) to knock Bush down a peg for the upcoming elections.

So let me get this straight:

Gotchya. I am becoming a really great Democrat. The cognitive dissonence is tough, but when I hit this joint really hard, it's easier to deal with.
