Could you, before September 11th, have fathomed maniacs turning planes into missles and flying them into buildings. No!
Everyone knew because these threats are typical and sad to say... ordinary.
But in the light of what happened, it's easy to go back and look at all the reports and say... "see... right there. How could the Administration have missed it."
Everyone missed it because no one could fathom it.
Of course not. What was the most frequent reaction to the atrocities? Unbelieveable, closely followed by unthinkable. And the Bush administration should have anticipated the attacks and prevented them? Nonsense.
I am so tired of it all.
Yesterday John Soloman reported that Senior Appeals Judge Richard D. Cudahy was the source of the leak during the time when Clinton was under threat of being indicted.

WASHINGTON –– "The House Judiciary Committee chairman on Wednesday requested a judicial investigation of a federal appeals judge who says he inadvertently leaked information in 2000 that a grand jury had been convened to investigate then-President Clinton."
The second piece of news is this: From The Washington Post, AP, WASHINGTON –– Rep. James McDermott, D-Wash., has acknowledged leaking to the media a recording of a phone call between Rep.John Boehner, R-Ohio, and then-House Speaker Newt Gingrich."
Our attention has been diverted, and we are being spun again. However, I think just like a lot of things having to do with GW, it will not knock him down, but will backfire on Clinton and the Democrats.
I would suspect it is because Bush's popularity numbers are still astronomical, and they are trying anything they can think of to bring him down a peg or two. They can't STAND that he is still up in the 80% range in the polls.
I am sick of both parties stinking parties and the political hacks that cheer them on.
We pay billions to the CIA, FBI, NSA, etc etc. You mean to tell me our intelligence agencies could not figure out that these hugh jet aircraft could not be used as weapons? Bull $hit!
The threat came in and the President was notified, and apparently everyone else in DC.
Why did our government fail to immediately arm all American pilots or at least give the pilots access to weapons in the cockpit? Why were sky marshals not put on as many GD flights as possible?
It's not just the Democrats, or Republicans or the President.
It's the same GD reason that our entire country is crawling with millions upon millions of illegal aliens from all over the Earth. It's the entire leadership of this country that failed!
Do you HONESTLY believe that allowing the pilots to carry guns wouldn't have provoked screams from the anti-gun bunch? Do you HONESTLY believe that had they publicized this threat that the demorats wouldn't have said GW was responsible for 9/11?
My point is.. no matter what you do or how you do it, democrats will use it against you. They don't give a flip about our country, our safety or our children.
Now, consider GWB maintains his presidency for a 2nd term, who in the GOP has the "star" power to run against Hitlary? Friends, this is just the beginning of a long slide down the slope. The media is a one way form of communication, and they continue to feed the "sheeples" a daily diet of garbage. IMHO, the worst is yet to come.
Mr. President;
The democrats are in a full charge mode: The media is manning the battle wagons.
Cut these jerks off at their knees. No more playing nicey-nice when your personal integrity is being attacked. Even Hillary, with all her family baggage, is on the attack. They will be relentless!
Force these jerks to whimper away with their tails between their legs. Remind them that Clinton was warned in 1996. Remind them that Congress was appraised of the threat. Remind them that no-one can shut down an airline industry everytime there is an unfounded threat.
No more nicey-nice. ATTACK!

Tell that to the thousands of dead and their loved ones from 9/11/01.
This reminds me of the Clinton Justice Department denying a warrant on Wen Ho Lee, the only one out of about 2,600. We still don't know what he thought he was doing copying those files, or why the warrant was denied.
Rather than Republican versus Democrat, it looks like governors versus governed.
