That said, the notion that he's promoting all of this liberal and unconstitutional legislation because he's some great patriot is absolutely absurd. Just as absurd is the idea that it's all some grand scheme so that he can come out of the closet at some later date as the great conservative that he really is.
It wouldn't be so bad if he (like Reagan) held his nose and signed legislation he didn't agree with for the sake of horse trading to get what he wants, but that's not the case. Most of this stuff was on HIS INITIATIVE.
Sorry, but he should be giving some of the spoils of war (war in the political sense) to those of us who supported him, instead of pandering to those we fought against in election 2000.
This man is no conservative. In fact he's done nothing but divide us and made us fight amongst ourselves. If he had any balls he'd expend some of his political capital and do what's right instead of doing what's thought to be politically expedient.
Some here have compared him to Reagan. What a damn joke, as he couldn't hold a freaking candle to RR. Reagan led the country and the world to a path of freedom and taught many what the meaning of conservatism was.
