Fascinating.

Not one "environmental organization" on those lists?

If the San Francisco Chronicle is writing unflattering stories about this yaboo, he's toast.

Amazing how dimbulb can amass contributions

My thoughts exactly. People are actually paying this man? For what? Simply amazing. What do they expect in return?

The IBEW? Geez' Davis is killing those guys. Seen any transmission lines or power plants built lately? Talk about a disconnect between the union membership and the fat-cats at the top...

In reviewing the list, it does not make sense as far as the overt actions by Davis in power. Dimlights is certainly not charismatic. What is the attraction?

Snopercod, I think you have hit on the REAL scandal. These people are paying him for something, and what is it? It could be as innocuous as having the dems in power, but I seriously doubt it.

Why are they paying Davis is certainly the question.

$13.3 million came from unions when you add it all up. Well ... public employees got a raise, prison guards got a raise, the plumbers union got to keep prices artifically high by keeping PVC pipes out of California, and California teachers are now the 5th highest paid in the country. (Of course, test scores are still low, but everyone knows if we just gave them more money they would increase).

Hmmmmmm ... methinks there is a pattern.

Barbra probably won't join them. She has a long-standing development beef with the City of Malibu and its less upscale citizens, all of who hate her plans for a huge house. I believe those plans were eventually approved by both the Coastal Commission and the City of Malibu, which just goes to show what fame and influence will get you.

So no, she doesn't care about the Coastal Commission because she has the influence to prevent it from bothering her.

Same with Perenchio, who is best known among us as not only a Davis supporter, but a Proposition 209 opponent. It happens that the largest basis for his fortune is Spanish language TV programming, and that's obviously threatened by Proposition 209.

But they have little connection to Malibu's middle class, those who have a net worth of under a million or two instead of hundreds of millions of dollars. Those are the people who went to the meeting I attended, the same folks the Coastal Commission wants to exclude from Malibu if at all possible.

Those nice folks are likely to think twice before voting for Davis.

Speaking of gold mines, I guess that the greenies would lose their tax-exempt status if they donated to Davis directly.
