I never watch yack shows. I thought I would today because I saw (on FR) that Condoleeza Rice would be on, and she is always wonderful to behold.

This Week (ABC):

Condi Rice is her usual spectacular self.

Cokie Roberts doesn't bother to disguise her contempt for Dr. Rice, Pres. Bush, or Truth. She never fails to serve the Democrat Party and its propaganda.

Fortunately, Condi towers over Roberts and the rest of the Democrat propaganda shills in intelligence, sophistocation, articulateness, and every other positive quality.

After Condi's all-too-brief appearance, Sam Donaldson and Joseph Lieberman come on to emphasize the Democrat propaganda.

Lieberman: "This administration has a real passion for secrecy." Blah blah blah. Yackity yack yack. Democrat propaganda...blah blah blah.

Yawwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwn......

More Democrat propaganda. More disinformation from the Liberal Media.

Cheney, ever the gentleman, deflects a question about what knowledge the government had prior to this administration (i.e. during X42's reign), and instead talks about what the current administration is doing to improve coordination between intelligence agencies and to improve intelligence interpretation. Of course if the situation was reversed, the Dims would immediately pin blame on a previous Republican president. I do wish that our people would attack more forcefully with the truth about how the Rats, and Rat Clinton especially, mishandled our intelligence community during his years in charge.

I do not want public hearings, because there is a real security risk in having them. Anything classified would have to be in a closed session anyway, so all that we would see are the grandstanding democrats like Senator Ambulance-chaser.

Brit pointed out that even the fact that we HAVE some of this information is enough to clue the terrorists in on some of our methods. This is why we cannot have public hearings, and why every effort should be made to find out who leaked that story to CBS. My vote is for Edwards, since I believe he was the culprit once before, in leaking something to the Washington Post. Perhaps that is why he has suddenly disappeared.

Can somebody explain to me how that "warning" would have worked? Tell the public we have a vague warning, stay off airliners? For how long? I must be dumb; I cannot figure it out.

Nope, that wouldnt be good enough. If the planes were merely empty of passengers when they flew they would still make effective missiles and while the passengers would have been saved the tragedy would have happened regardless. Only a grouding of all aircraft OR complete background checks on all passengers might have prevented this catastrophe. The question is: would the warnings obtained been sufficicient to warrant such extreme action?

I believe that it has been Hillary all along who has set off this and all the other failed Democrat anti-Bush political gambits since early this year. Her lack of understanding of the implications and ultimate outcome of her style of viscous, knee-jerk politically opportunistic rhetoric is what has been causing these repeated self inflicted black eyes for Daschle, Gephardt and others. What do you bet that the egregiously fraudulent McKinney trial balloon was initiated and coordinated by Hillary? I couldn't agree more. ANY politician who leaks information that results in the DEATH of another American should be removed from office IMMEDIATELY, and subsequently tried for his criminal activities. If this is true, Leahy should be in Leavenworth.

Well, Hank, as a matter of fact.....

I was 13 years old, and hadn't even seen Deliverance yet, so I didn't really know what a "Fag" was, but.... The guy was in his late 40's/early 50's, not ever married, acted real prissy (an English teacher), and his male "friend" used to pick him up after school. I think his friend's name was Lance or something. In hindsight, I guess I really got in trouble for being, shall we say, observant? I still was a punk, though, and got into a lot of trouble at school then.
