Regarding the involvement of high officials in 9-11, we have studied:
* a) the failure of the air safety and air defense systems to carry out long-standing, well-practiced, routine procedures;
* b) the actual behavior of these officials, which demonstrates consciousness of guilt and
* c) various attempted media cover-ups of a) and b), which cover-ups provide additional evidence of official guilt.
One thing we have not commented on is the debate over the collapse of the World Trade Center (WTC) towers.
Some argue that the towers were brought down by explosives. Others (including defenders of the official story on 9-11) insist that the towers collapsed because fire weakened the steel support structure.
Regardless of why the buildings collapsed, the crucial evidence of official guilt is that the air safety and air defense systems were made to 'stand down' on 9-11.
That said, on September 14th we did post an interesting article from the 'Albuquerque Journal' concerning the WTC towers.
It is based on an interview with Van Romero, the director of research at the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
Mr. Romero:
'studies explosive materials and the effects of explosions on buildings, aircraft and other structures.'
His research institute:
'assists in forensic investigations into terrorist attacks, often by setting off similar explosions and studying the effects.'
It is funded, at least in part, by grants from the Pentagon.
Van Romero studied the videos of the WTC collapse and concluded that the towers were most likely destroyed by carefully placed demolition charges. He told the 'Journal':
"It would be difficult for something from the plane to trigger an event like that."

If Bush did sit through another 25 minutes in the classroom, I cannot believe he did so without Card having told him that everyone who could be gathering information was gathering information and that there would be a report coming soon, at which time Bush would have removed himself immediately. He would not have ranked a school visit above national security, no matter what detractors say, imply, or insinuate.

They should be. They should also be very afraid of George Bush, who is extremely loyal to his people, unlike the Clintons, who threw anyone overboard for political gain.

There may have been 25 minutes between Bush being told about the plane #1 and #2. He did not sit there reading stories to the kids for 25 minutes after being told of the second attack. He made a short statement to the teachers present about what happened and then when the secret service was certain that it was safe to move him, the President was taken to Air Force One where he could be better protected against the terrorists that were attacking the country. His staff you can be sure was collecting information for him. During the first few minutes, you know you cant really be sure about much of what is offered up as intelligence.

Second jet slammed into WTC at 9:05. Bush was onboard Air Force One at 9:55. Later when Cheney requested fighter support for Air Force One, they were told it would take 40-50 minutes. Read that this morning in Washington Post article that came out a few weeks after 9/11. Jets were launched from Andrews but it was after the Pentagon had been hit. A jet was hot on the tail of flight 93. According to the same Washington Post article Cheney and those in the bunker didnt know whether flight 93 was shot down or crashed for some two or three hours.
And in that statement to the media crazymakers, he was obviously shoved off his usual demeanor and obviously deeply serious about how to get things in order to respond to the attacks and what to do to continue to protect America. It is beyond the pale for others to suggest otherwise, and anyone who says so does not observe the man very closely, or does so through such jaundiced political motives as to make them incapable of correct analysis.
