"what is WRONG with these people"

Simple ... they're power hungry! Remember, Rush warned us these people would get funnier and funnier, the further they got away from power. This is proving true - look how desperate they are - they know 2002 is going to put them totally out of power in Washington - they are really in a panic.

"Well ... I really don't like him anyway"

What a telling statement!

These people attack people just because they don't "like" them! My gosh - you can't like everybody - but that's not a legitimate reason to attack someone or try to destroy them as a person. But then ... the Clintons taught the politics of personal destruction well - and the dems continue to use it - but it's going to destroy them.

From Miss M regarding Ari's reaction at the WH briefing to hitlery the pig:

Of course, she WAS smacked down big-time, by Ari Fleischer who said that while Mayor Bloomberg had called and asked the White House about this, listened to the explanation, and discounted the story as ridiculous, there fore showing himseelf to be a leader who unites people, Senator Clinton had NOT called the White House, had NOT asked any reasonable questions, but instead chose to be divisive! HA! He mentioned her specifically by name! HA!

At least we get to smile a 'a tiny tiny widdle bit' over this sensational comeback by Ari! Glad to hear of it!

The truth is that his wife did know about the potential for hijackings and also bombings on planes-she had to go through a metal detector and have her carry on bags x rayed. She was asked the stupid questions at check in, about her luggage being under her control at all times. Anyone who flies commercially must go through security and understands what the purpose of that screening is.To suddenly claim that they had no idea planes could be hijacked or explosives planted,is a fool.

This idiot (Push) - for whom I do feel some sympathy - allowed himself to be used by Wolf Blitzer this afternoon. I don't know which one to blame most - Blitzer or Push. Or perhaps me for even watching this crap.

"it has been Hillary all along"

Hmmm? I believe I also posed this answer several weeks ago here on FR after McKinney began her tirade. I do so agree with your assumption. Only Hillary has a motive for this kind of thing. She wants to be President so bad, she is willing to destroy anyone or anything to get it.

I totally agree with your assessment Gretchen - that's what I thought when I read it. The President believed it was an accident - a stupid pilot mistake - not a terrorist attack. He didn't know we were under attack until the second plane hit. Which is when the rest of us got the clue also.

I like the dart gun idea. Now, what can you come up with for annoying posters? Dart guns won't work, but I wish there was something that would stick to their actual posts, so that every time their post came up, it would be seen! Ha!

That's true you're not President - and all of your "I would's" have pretty much explained why you shouldn't be President!! Because ... you don't know what you're talking about. You're just ranting for the sake of ranting.

The link I posted, in Reply #229, was Part 5 of a 6-part series which was broadcast on VisionTV, a Canadian station located at 80 Bond Street, Toronto, Ontario Canada.
Their home page LINK states:

"VISIONTV FACTS
WHAT IS VISIONTV
VisionTV (www.visiontv.ca) is the only multifaith and multicultural television network in the world. As an independent, not-for-profit public service broadcaster, it is dedicated to presenting programs that celebrate Canada’s diversity and promote understanding and tolerance between people of different faiths and cultures.
The Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC)licenced VisionTV in 1987. The network was mandated to address a public policy need: to provide religious broadcasting that affords an outlet for single-faith viewpoints within a broader multifaith context."

Part 5 of this series list as "Sources"

Follow the story headings

Click “News and Policies,” then “December 2001,” then scroll down (close to the end) to the part of transcript of the Orlando, Florida town hall that I quote. You can also listen to the U.S. president in streaming audio.

Reply #232: Where is the author's proof that Bush knew the first plane was a terror attack? I have seen none of it. I heard him say that his thought, as someone who had flown planes, was (not an exact quote), How could someone be that bad of a pilot?

From the transcript:
THE PRESIDENT: "Thank you, Jordan. Well, Jordan…I was sitting outside the classroom waiting to go in, and I saw an airplane hit the tower -- the TV was obviously on. And I used to fly, myself, and I said, well, there's one terrible pilot…. But I was whisked off there, I didn't have much time to think about it. And I was sitting in the classroom, and Andy Card, my Chief of Staff…walked in and said, 'A second plane has hit the tower, America is under attack.' . . .

According to the transcript, President Bush knew about the first plane before he entered the classroom. When his Chief of Staff came in to tell him about the second plane and stated "America is under attack", Barrie Zwicker, Insight Media Analyst, expresses surprise that "he (President Clinton) continued to listen to a student talk about her pet goat, and such, for another 25 minutes. Why?"

The Chief of Staff whispering in the President's ear was repeated many times on 9/11. At the time I remember thinking, "Oh, he didn't want to panic the children. That was the right thing to do." However, I didn't know then that he had already been informed about the first plane and, if Mr. Zwicker is correct, the President stayed an additional 25 minutes after learning about the second plane. While not ascribing any nefarious intentions to the President's actions, I do have to wonder why 25 minutes?
