Second jet slammed into WTC at 9:05. Bush was onboard Air Force One at 9:55. Later when Cheney requested fighter support for Air Force One, they were told it would take 40-50 minutes. Read that this morning in Washington Post article that came out a few weeks after 9/11. Jets were launched from Andrews but it was after the Pentagon had been hit.
