To all you Tennesseans. You should stop being scared of the State income tax. We have it here in Arkansas and we are doing great. Once we got the income tax our education rating stopped declining just like that and has not dropped below 50th since. Its a miracle. I can't tell you how many areas of our State have been improved similarly by the income tax. We haven't dropped below 50th in nearly anything.

P.S. you should also consider the sales tax on grocery and food items that we have.
