I lived in DC for 12 years, and never heard of ANYONE going to the Klingle Mansion as a must-see site. And if it was a must-see sight, and she was just sightseeing, why would she go in sports clothes?
That April 30 was a nice spring day. But May 1 was a gorgeous, incredible, life-enhancing day that drew all DC out to revel, if not chained to a desk.
But why the Klingle Mansion? It is not very interesting to look at, and the inside is used for storage and park offices, only occasionally is it open to the public for events, and it was locked and closed the entirely of Tuesday May 1.
