It stinks! Chandra did not like jogging, I heard it reported. She was in the park to meet Condidit.

And as Susan Estrich (BLECHH!) pointed out, Chandra would not have paged Condit over and over and over again that day and then left her apartment without her cell phone. And certainly not for an 8 mile run. She wouldn't have risked missing his call. The only plausible reason for her leaving her apartment without taking her phone with her is that she was planning on seeing him.

Totally agree. I believe she met, or at least talked to, Condit that day. I think he probably met up wtih her. He knew roughly where she was and what her plans were, minimum.

HOwever, I also think she was murdered by mr. G, who assaulted the other women near the same place, and shortly after Chandra was murdered there.

He chose the wrong path, to put it in the most gentle way, about what to do when it was clear she was gone. He hid and obfuscated and denied. And lost everything because of his choice.

I actually think he would have survived politically if he had chosen the honorable path, stuck his neck out and taken his lumps.

FINALLY. Some good, clear thinking. Most of what's being posted ignores all Chandra's and Condit's behavior prior to and after the disappearance. Most of it just looks at the park location and the predator's history. Once you factor in all the behavior of all the parties, it is very unlikely that Condit was not involved in her death.
