As urban police brass seek to finesse fabricated charges of racism by hiring incompetent, and often criminal police officer candidates, based on the color of the candidates' skin, and by misrepresenting the extent of urban crime, the cities continue their slide, and criminals increasingly rule both sides of "the thin blue line."
The way PC politics work these days, I'm not surprised.

When I was in grad school studying philosophy, a Marxist classmate informed me that "The world is composed of contradictions." But somehow, in his world, only certain contradictions were permitted.

The Jaywalking case was the one in Dallas/Fort Worth, where a white homeless guy was struck by a black nurses aide, Chante Mallard .
The dragging death also occured in Texas ; a white guy was run down by a car load of blacks after he refused to give them money. That was not too long ago, but all I can remember about the case now is that the victim's middle name was Bimbo and he lived in a trailer...The media made a point of telling us this. Out of the media in 48 hours.
The Flint gang assault was where a gang of black "youths" attacked three white teens, killing one and gangraping the female member. This happened in June or July of 1996 or 1997, and Time or Newsweek did a story on it. Fell out of the news soon thereafter.
The Chicago disembowelling took place in the mid 1990s. A white woman, (divorced , 2 children) had an affair with a black man, and became pregnant. A black female "friend" who wanted a baby went to the white woman's house with three black male friends, including the father of the unborn baby, shot the two older children before their mother's eyes, and disembowelled the white woman to get her 7 month fetus. The four killers were caught, and the fetus survived and is being raised by the maternal grandparents. I heard about this case in 1997 when people protesting the possibility of the 4 killers getting the DP made CNN (they didn't, they got LWOP). It is on the net ; I found it in 2001, but I had no luck this time. Believe the victim's first name was Cynthia. And it wasn't Chicagoproper, it was a suburb of Chicago (Cicero?) but I cannot remember which one.
The Chicago igniting took place in spring of 1994 or 1995. I remember reading about it in the papers, though coverage was slight outside Chicago. A black cop picked up a white homeless guy, but instead of driving him to the station, he dumped him by a gang of black "youths", who set the man ablaze. The victim died a few days later in the hospital A friend later went to the PDP and asked for him, and the black police accesory to murder laughed and said, "Ah, he's all burned up." Like the Flint, MI case above, the following cases are preinternet. I did a google on them using what data I had (eg Melissa SC torture) and the only sites which consider these cases worth covering are mostly white supremist/antisemitic sites. Sadly, we are about to the point where to protest black on white crimes of violence is ipso facto proof of racism. But as these cases are ONLY covered on the net at such sites (though I remember reading about them in the paper) here's the links:

I found a whole lot of black on white hate crimes that were covered on FR even, but which I'd forgotten, as there's so many of such crimes.
I spoke too soon : Here's the Chicao Igniting AND the Chicago Disembowelling.. The victim's name was Richard Will ; the white woman was Debra Evans, not Cynthia.. Melissa Laughlin's here too, but it sanitized the details of what was done to her (and misspelled her name), which included being partially skinned and emersed in a tub of bleach. The Texas case of the white man run over by a carload of blacks after a money dispute? That I couldn't find. It was posted to FR , in multiple articles. Perhaps a fellow freeper has a link.
The good news is that people are finally really starting to wake up to this nonsense. Finally! Maybe there is hope for the future.

I can't believe you came through the way you did! I haven't even hit the links yet, but I just wanted to say that when you described the cases in detail, I recalled most of them. The igniting case, if memory serves, involved two guys in a car who were stopped for DWI in a black neighborhood. The driver was arrested, and the car towed. The friend who had been riding along, begged the black arresting officers for a ride out of the neighborhood, but they refused. Neighborhood role models then cornered him and set him on fire.
The dragging death victim was Ken "Bimbo" Tillery. Toogood Reports columnist Paul Scates is the only writer I know of -- certainly the first -- to write about it, in his Toogood Reports column.
Up until the Central park Jogger Case, the media did not try to cover up vicious antiwhite hate crimes, or any other crime . "If it bleeds, it leads" : Horrific crimes made money for papers, and upped ratings for the other medias. It was the accusations of antiblack sensationalism stemming from the Central Park case which led to a (no pun intended) blackout on black on white crime. This blackout led to a blackout on ALL PC crimes, where the perps were protected minorities. To make up for it and to show they weren't really gutless cowards, the reporters and editors compensated by hyping any case of white on protected minority that came down the pike: eg, the Jasper, Texas dragging, or Mark Shepard.
This worked, and the fools in the mainstream media think it still works, which is why they thought they could conceal the races in the Jake Robel/ Kayla Rolland murders, and why they thought they could refrain from reporting the Wichita Atrocity at all. Like that Leslie Stahl **** said at a reporter's convention, "We give the people the news we think they should have, tell them what we think they should know".They're too ignorant to realize that people today no longer read the papers, no longer listen to news radio, no longer watch TV news-and if they do, they take it all with a boulder of salt. Today, people get their news from the internet, which is why the media Powers That Be can no longer conceal nonPC crimes. They try. But it no longer works. Blackouts like the one on Jesse Dirkhissing and the Wichita Atrocity are thwarted because of sites like FR and Newsmax and too many others to list, as well as by individuals mailing the local reports back and forth via e mail. Even so little a thing as trying to conceal the perp's race : The media still tries to do that, and every time they do, a freeper posts, "Saw the arms sticking out from under the jacket over his head. Yep, it's another black on white crime."
The media blackout no longer works.
The Gore coup would have worked if it weren't for the internet.
Antiwhite crimes can no longer be concealed, because of the internet.
The media talking heads cannot cover up the Reparations Scam till the last minute, after which they planned to start the indoctrination/"education" song and dance to convince us only racists are against reparations. They tried, but thanks to the internet-especially David Horowitz and Free Republic-the old ways no longer work. People know about reparations far too early for it to be easily foisted upon us, and (thanks to the internet , and sites like these)-the indoctrination isn't working : Over 80% of Americans are against reparations.
Ditto for immigration abuses.
And asset forfeiture abuses.
And eminent domain abuses
And police power abuses...Why do you think Waco and Ruby Ridge are remembered at all?
If we manage to keep any freedom, any dignity, any respect for law and the Constitution alive in the USA, it'll be because of the internet, and sites like this. They can't lie to us any more, we can no longer be as easily indoctrinated-and they know it.They hate and fear conservative/libertarians on the net, because we're destroying their little empire.
