Palestinians Will Win If They Love Death: Hizbollah

BEIRUT -- Hizbollah Leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah, whose movement carried out several martyrdom-seeking operations on Israeli occupation forces in Lebanon, urged the Palestinians on Thursday not t

"The experience of the Lebanese resistance is that those who love death defeat those who are afraid of death," Nasrallah said, adding that the Palestinian uprising against Israeli occupation was a gra

Addressing a rally to mark two years since the Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon, Nasrallah said martyrdom-seeking operations were a locally-made weapon that Israel could not contain.

"The culture of martyrdom is the strongest weapon.

It does not carry a 'Made in U.S.' or 'Made in Soviet Union' stamp," Nasrallah told 20,000 supporters.

He said Palestinian martyrdom operations, such as one near Tel Aviv on Wednesday, showed the futility of Israeli occupation and revenge attacks on Palestinian cities. Al-Aqsa martyrs brigades said it

Referring to Washington's declared war on terrorism, he said of martyrdom operations: "This is a humble weapon that does not deserve this world war on it, on every (Palestinian) young man and woman wh

Hizbollah's war of attrition forced Israel to end its 22-year occupation of south Lebanon. It has since kept up a low intensity war against Israeli troops occupying the foothills of the Golan Heights.

Meanwhile, the pro-Iranian guerrilla group Hizbollah on Thursday denied a U.S. media report that said it had met members of Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda group to plan new attacks.

"Such allegations are silly. No such meeting took place," Hizbollah leader Sheikh Hassan Nasrallah told a rally marking the second anniversary of Israel's withdrawal from south Lebanon.

"There is one thing that they (the United States) have not accused us of yet -- working to obtain weapons of mass destruction," Nasrallah said.

ABC News reported that leaders of Al-Qaeda, Hizbollah and the Palestinian group Hamas had put aside their differences and held a meeting in Lebanon in late March to discuss tactics and a new level of

Hizbollah is a Shia group whose war of attrition drove out Israel from south Lebanon after a 22-year occupation. Al-Qaeda and Hamas belong to the larger Sunni sect of Islam.

The Lebanese government earlier denied the report.

"Nobody has ever won a war by dying for his country, you win a war by making the other poor dumb b@stard die for his."

Yellow flag alert.

I predict if the price of oil drops, say to about $22 bbl, Iran will instruct their lackeys to up the bombing and rocket campaign. Payoffs to Lebanese govt. officials to keep their mouths shut from complaining will help. Israel will respond, Iran threaten "Embargo!" - get oil back up to around $26 per.

Is that the best slogan they could come up with?

"The Americans work to make life worth living, we work to make death worth dying! Uhm... I mean..."

Too bad Jerry Garcia isn't alive to see how his band's name has been taken up by the Palestinians.

Calling Bob Weir, the Grateful Dead live in Palestine.

I seem to recall right after 911 some Muslim fanatics said "They love Pepsi Cola, we love death".

I say, let's be nice guys and give them what they love!

I recall one of the proverbs says: "He who hates God loves death." Don't have my Bible handy. But that tells you something.

It's obvious that the Palestinians love death and that's why they can't be allowed to win.

Good analysis. Even the threat of us opening up our fields in Alaska and elsewhere would moderate any price rise and probably cause a drop. Why Democrats refuse to allow it is beyond me.

The "Palestinians" are "The Ungrateful Dead". Perhaps they will remake "Blues For Allah", posthumously, of course!
