I trust it's not just the way you nudge-nudge wink-wink at the Church's teaching on artificial birth control. We never talk about it. That's "priest territory." We don't bring it up, and there are no questions on the survey dealing with it.
Lots of these young people are living together. If it were up to me, I'd require that they live apart for six months before their wedding.
But it's not up to me.

I do remember your saying that and I think that's admirable.
Why is that the priest's territory? What with all the "Couple to Couple League" and stuff like that, I figured priests had given in to the you no play-a da game - you no make-a da rules bit and turned it over to marrieds.
That surprises me, actually.

AAAAggghhhh!!! Knowing how the pill causes early abortion you should be obliged by your conscience to talk about it irregardless of "territory"...if you are doing pre-cana and NOT talking about it you are remiss in your duty. Think in terms of the lives of unborn on your head.

Why is the Church not requiring that they live apart completely, until getting married? Too inconvenient to actually teach what Christianity (i.e., God) requires here? There is a slippery slope here that ends with our seminaries being turned into homosexual bordellos, and our teenage sons being endangered by our priests.
