Were that the case then we would not see the same kinds of issues and crimes destroying the Catholic Church from Ireland to South Africa and from Nigeria to Australia.
It is truly sad, but it is true that the same kinds of infections are spreading world-wide. The church needs strong, steadfast and energetic leadership now. I deeply respect JPII, but perhaps it is time to turn over the mantle to those with the faith and spirit to turn the Church around.
