The reporter (familiar face, don't remember the name, from CNN, I believe) asked Bush about the protesters, then said a few words to Chirac in French (Bush had been remarking that Chirac wasn't getting any questions). Bush said something like "Wow, the guy memorizes four words and thinks he's intercontinental.".
He managed to make it sound like a rebuke and good-natured ribbing at the same time--pretty good delivery on W's part.
President Bush said:" What is this, Gregory? You memorize a few words and suddenly you're intercontinental?"
