As a kid just entering his teens, it was just what I needed to keep me out of trouble - add to that the opportunity to learn to fly, SAR Ground Team training and participation, Communications, First Aid/CPR, Military Customs and Drilling, History, Aerospace Education - ne of the fnnest things was encampments at AFBs, where we participated in OJT programs... I'd recommend it for any kid if it's still as good today as it was then... :0)
