Palestinians are just the scum of the earth.
Arafat's Palestinian Authority condemned the bombing as "harmful to our cause and struggle and to the image of the Palestinian people."
Neither Arafat, the governments of Egypt or Saudi Arabia or even Pakistan speak for their people. All of them rely on western financial support, in one form or another to stay afloat and provide their leaders with the sort of luxuries they have, or would like to become accustomed. The rulers who DO speak for their people can be found in Iraq and Syria, and also Iran.
Who speaks for the overwhelming number of Muslims in most Islamic and non-Islamic countries are their mullahs and religious leaders. People who portray the west and the Jews as the personification of evil, the source of all Islam's problems and a threat to Islam's very existance.
In a sense they are correct. The concept of a free and open society, the dignity of the individual, freedom of conscience and religion, equality of the sexes, etc., constitute a threat to Islam, which represents the opposite of all those virtues in every respect.
There can and never will be peace between Muslims and non-Muslims. Its a war to the end. I pray we are the victors and the consequences are beyond tolerance.
Good song. My favorite part is is the "chomp, chomp, chomp, chomp" line after the "gator's got your granny" line. Haven't heard it in years, though.
