Wish he could, it is a common trick of the Dems to boro in at the end of the second term. That is they convert from a appointed job to Civil Service, and therefore cannot be fired. I believe what happened to Linda Tripp was rather than firing her and making more headlines they let her appointment run out. Most of the Repubs on the otherhand realize they would go brain dead in the Fed Govt so they leave, and besides they usually are acommplished in some profession and not there to promote some narrow ajenda.

Bush is a dope. He is going to Mr.Nice Guy himself to one term. There is no reason why he cannot either fire or have these people reassigned. He doe's not want to offend. Funny he has no problem offending old ladies with his PC security checks. Take away 9/11 and we have the un-president. Sad for all of us. Get ready for Queen Hitlery.
