Ehud Barak's time is past. The point is there can be NO political solution as the Palestinians are not prepared to accept ANY terms short of Israel's disappearance. The only alternative left to Israel is R&D. Reoccupation and Denazification. Barak is very much a prisoner of the Oslo delusions. And until Israel recognizes it has no negotiating partner on the other side for the foreseeable future, the bloodshed will continue unabated.
