The JDL disrupted Soviet activties in the USA when it was vitally important for the Soviets to engage with the USA in detente. They didn't kill people. They disrupted the Moscow ice show by placing certain items on the ice surface. The JDL created such a problem for the Soviets that they were forced to allow 2 million Jews who were suffering under Soviet persecution to emigrate.

It was not the left wing Jewish establishment or anybody else who got the 2 million jews out of the Soviet Union. It was the activies of the JDL. They are proud of that accomplishment. And they should be. They alone were responsible for getting 2 million jews out of Soviet Russia.

I wonder if the JDL had a hand in selling secrets given to the Israelis by Jonathan Pollard to the Soviets in exchange for these 2 million Jews?

The trillions America spent,the 100,000 + American lives lost fighting communism had nothing to do with it I guess. The JDL did it all by themselves. Those Jews in the Soviet Union would have been out a lot sooner had not Democrats, many of them Jews, did all the could, including treason and giving the Soviets the bomb, to see we did not bust the USSR.

Here's a clue, dude. I have been as close to some of these Jews as anyone. My mentor was a confidant of Meir Kahane. (Recognize that name?) I can tell you that while on the surface their ideas are right in terms of policy---and I have no argument at all with energy independence---the JTF is in NO WAY concerned with the U.S. or American interests.

They steal military secrets from us, and have no compunction about violating OUR IMMIGRATION LAWS when it is them.

Moreover, the earlier poster has a gigantic point that you glossed over: Israel for years has been VERY left-wing in its policies. It is a socialist state in most respects. Only our religious cultural heritage unites us: but also realize that these same Jews that you tout refer to Gentiles as "cattle" and would BAN all Christians and ANY evangelizing of Jews in Israel by ANY American Christian if they ever came to power. So be careful who you support here. They are with us in the war on terror, but their interests are not our interests.
