The lowball estimates I've seen are 60,000,000 people, but I've seen figures as high as 180,000,000 too-- I think we can all agree it's too dam' many casualties.
Killing the capitalists-- justified by socialism. It is so sick to think about it. The system doesn't work - so the great thinkers conclude the problem is not enough people have been killed.

Ah yes. The creed of the thief. Not being able to produce wealth themselves, they can only sit about and wait for someone else to create it and then pounce upon it with club and fist. That's all it boils down to- thievery. I note that none of these socialists have ever moved to an area free from the contaminants of capitalism and started a viable society from scratch. Indeed, even Marx recognized that the great unwashed masses depended upon men of ability first creating a life sustaining environmnet- the capitalist/industrial means of production- in order for the proletariat to have something to seize.
The banner of leftism should be a flag displaying an unthinking club wielding brute. The left are the first to denounce the men who make life on this planet good and the first as well to indulge in the excess of the "good life" to the point of decadence- only to declare to the masses later that it must all be destroyed in order to protect man from himself. They can only stand by bewildered as men of ability move the world and the only creative potential they demonstrate is the ability to organize a mob to seize the material goods they so much want to wallow in like the pigs they are.
Their champions, Noam Chomsky and others, can dress it up in flowery rhetoric all they want- what they advocate is still thievery and they are all thugs.
