I wouldn't mind sharing the air with smokers in a restaurant if they wouldn't exhale.

Would you accept completely seperate smoking and nonsmoking restaurants? You don't have to smoke at the time to go in the smoking allowed but you do have to NOT smoke at the time to go into the nonsmoking.
If not, we probably wouldn't mind NOT sharing a restaurant with you at all.

That's exactly the same way I've been able to show my wife, not as libertarian as I, how unfair most of the new crop of poblic area no smoking laws are. Neither of us smoke, and she normally is in favor of more restrictions on public smoking because she sees that it is good for her. When I told her that it would be illegal to open entire restaurants or bars where smoking would be allowed as well as others where it wouldn't, she was surprised and incensed.
