A woman on the other side yelled over, "I have 3,000(?) shares of Exxon/Mobil! What should
I do about my concerns??!!"
We all yelled, "
Sell 'em if you don't like the company!"
She: "They should be more sensitive to our demands!"
Me: "I'll tell you what... If you think your way is best... YOU start your own corporation... Hire 98,000 employees.... Make payroll..... Provide those employees with benefits... AND make a profit and keep your doors open!! WE'LL SEE HOW
YOUR COMPANY DOES!"
I hear a man laughing right in my ear.... Turn my head... and it's a reporter who has his mike right under my mouth.
That was awesome but I wonder if it'll make it into print. Somehow I doubt it....
What a great story. It's funny how they don't get the "big picture" great job. Thanks for being there.
