Another FBI Agent Blows the Whistle on 9-11

FBI Special Agent Robert G. Wright Jr. will hold a news conference Thursday in Washington to reveal FBI negligence and obstruction of counterterrorism investigations targeting Hamas and al-Qaeda.

Judicial Watch, the public interest group that investigates and prosecutes government corruption, said its co-counsel David Schippers would join Wright at the press conference.

"Special Agent Wright, of the FBI's Chicago Division, is the only agent in the history of the FBI to have used the civil forfeiture laws to seize over $1.4 million dollars in Hamas terrorist money in connection with a criminal investigation of terrorist money laundering operations here in the United States," Judicial Watch said.

Minneapolis FBI agent Coleen Rowley has corroborated Wright's experiences dealing with FBI headquarters and senior management, "who consistently delayed, down-played and soft-peddled the investigative efforts of counterterrorism agents in the field," the organization said.

Stay tuned.

Still flacking for the status quo, I see.

Your establishment icons, like your efforts on this forum, have been exposed.

Back under the rock, Pubbie.

Schippers is a snake.

Schippers is a Democrat, which is the same thing.

He's been a hell of a lot more visible since Bush took office than he was after impeachment, hasn't he?

. How come no one blew the whistle before - and why didn't they start coming out of the woodwork right after 911? Why wait until now? This gets curiouser and curiouser!

Arkancide?

How about a SPAM sandwich, Jethro? Or a Reform Party foam finger?

I missed your shortwave broadcast. Hope it went well.

My thoughts exactly. Why now? Why not September 12, 2001? All day I have been thinking of all of the negligence during the Clinton Administration from downright in your face flaunting of the rule of law, to selling our national jewels to the ChiComs, to missing State Department computers, to special business agreements to Loral and Bernie Schwartz, the Los Alamos debacle, WH Lee, and consciously weak response to 1993 WTC bombing, USS Cole, Kohbar Towers, etc.

Why no blazing spotlight focused on Berger, Freeh, Reno, Clinton?

"Mueller and Ashcroft announced a reorganization today,"

I've seen plenty of "reorganizations" in the business world and for some reason what you're touting as positive smells of smokescreen and CYA. The incompetent usually get elevated, and the company fails anyway.

Do you believe Randy Weaver acted with honor at Ruby Ridge? Do you believe that David Koreshe and the parents of those kids acted with honor at Waco? Weaver had 18 months to answer the warrant and Koresh had 54 days to do the same.

Suicide bombings of the type done in Israel won't happen here. Why would someone blow themselves up when they can just leave an unopened package on a corner? We're not up against broke desperate Palestinians in a secured country. Our enemy is made of sterner stuff, and our security is not.

Then why not a single terrorist attack since? I mean just regular suicide bombings in malls of the kind Israel is a victim of every week?

Who would have listened to Schippers anyway? If he screamed it from the rooftops no one would have bothered to pay it any heed anyway. Not the FBI for sure. If all these reports are true, they didn't listen to anyone, obviously.

Easy, "whistle blower protection". That is a gold mine. He can never be fired OR passed over for promotion from this point forward. He has it made in the shade.

Not only that, but if he has a conscience, he has pretty much cleared it and the problems rest on the shoulders of those way up above, including people in charge, going back to Clinton.

Would it have made a difference if Bush had cleaned house and a new leadership (and perhaps culture) had been installed at the FBI? Probably not - you don't turn such an agency around overnight, if he had cleaned house, we'd be seeing the results this year. There would still be a lot of the same rules/behaviors left over from clinton/reno still swirling around. I have to go with the Bushbots on this, Bush couldn't have done anything to have stopped 9/11

You bring up the whistleblower aspect, before the attacks, if this guy had raised hell, he would have been labeled a troublemaker and probably pushed off to some backwoods office and/or forced to leave. Now he can speak his mind without fear of being screwed over by those above him.

Why wait until now? This gets curiouser and curiouser!

Because like good little soldiers, they kept their mouths' shut until the upper level brass in D.C. started to suggest that the FBI's inability to read the tea leaves was the fault of the agents in the field. If the incompetents in D.C had taken the "buck stops here" approach, then Wright and Rawley may have very well kept their mouths shut.

You cannot fire anyone because of their political affiliation anyway.

But you could, if you wanted, trap them into proving that they are not doing their jobs, tampering with evidence, lying, leaking information, etc. Those are grounds for firing them ... or perhaps even indicting them. I'd start by just getting a few trustworthy agents together to exhume and autopsy Brown's and Foster's bodies or investigate the Riady non-refund ... and watch the democRAT house of cards begin to fall apart. Hasn't happened and that's why I don't buy the GOP excuses anymore. They are part of the problem TOO.

#31: "Just ask yourself: why would David Schippers have inside knowledge about 9/11?"

Having been a member of the NYPD when Serpico blew the whistle on curruption (nobody listened to him either until he was 'accidently shot'), I'd bet Frank would have loved to have been able to turn to a David Shippers for help.

After all, it was Shippers who had the courage to drive the impeachment of a sitting president (as the Republican Senators hid under their desks).

Then the argument could be made that he is a coward and an opportuist.

So, help me out here. They should do..what? Nothing? Jump off a bridge?

You play J Edgar Hoover for minute.

The question that keeps coming back to me is this:

If the FBI, NSA, CIA et al are so incompetant & so in the dark on this threat, how were they able to get the mug shots of the 19 hijackers so fast and piece the plot together?

I was in Colombia on 9/11 and was amazed to see them "solve" the crime so fast on CNN.
