And lest we forget: Gore was specifically in charge of airport security back in the early '90s. The Gore Commission sold out to the airlines in return for hefty donations to their campaigns.
Mineta has to go though. He has too many race issues holding him back from doing a good job, e.g. the farcical decision on arming pilots.

Part of the problem the 'RATs have, is that they have no credibility on defense, on security, on counter-terrorism. They're wimps, they're anti-American, so even if the attack on Bush works, it isn't going to benefit the 'RATs. The 'RATs have put forward no solutions, like arming pilots, ending political correctness, so we can look at Muslims in this country or anything else that would be effective.

The best analogy I have seen concerning the "Warning" received by Bush was posted on another thread by freeper DonQ
