Palestinian Authority TV portrays Palestinian Martyrdom as a Christian Ideal
Palestinian Media Watch Bulletin | May 30 2002 | Itamar Marcus

Posted on 05/30/2002 11:28:40 AM PDT by knighthawk

The Palestinian Authority has constantly presented the yearning for Martyrdom as an Islamic ideal incumbent upon every Moslem. Today, it broadened the religious significance, presenting Martyrdom as a Christian ideal as well. On a television program discussing the power of words the following poem glorifying Martyrdom was read and displayed on the screen. The poem promises that the Martyr, in Afterlife will, together with the Koran, “carry a Cross”.

“The Beat of the Words”
Palestinian Authority TV [May 30, 2002]

The Winds of Revolution

“Why do you kill my dream,
And not let me die as a Martyr?
My death will strengthen me,
And melt the iron for me.
I do not die to end,
Because in my death -is life,
In my death -is a hymn.
I am, my friend, a revolution in a human body,
A determined volcano.
I will carry my soul on my shoulder,
And in the Afterlife I will carry
A Cross and a Koran.”

"Because in my death -is life,
In my death -is a hymn".

Wrong.

Your death is just plain senseless death.

Who are they trying to propagandize as their "allies?" Arab Christians?

Christians of the world should be ashamed

The PA and Arab propaganda machine is trying to do everything to persuade Christians to fight against the Jews or to stop the Christians to support Israel.

On a Dutch forum a muslim tried to do it on me with an article ment for Christians that showed that Jews hated them and that Christians should support Palestinians. It was based on nonsense, but they hope a few can be persuaded.

I d not recall anything in the OT or NT mentioning Jehovah being into this. Moloch and Baal OTOH were pretty famous fans of baby killing according to the OT. Hmmm!

Others may see it differently, but in my view Christian anti-Semitism isn't that strong in the US, outside of the neo-Nazis and Identity Church people. I don't know if that's the case in European countries.

The real Christians here also support Israel. But you must know that Europe has been named the part of the world which is the least Christian. The mainly left pro-Palestinians don't consider themselves Christians, but atheists.

I can't find that piece of garbage (the forum closed the islam-discussion a while ago) but it was so weak I doubt it would convince any thinking person. It was mainly aimed at the already pro-Palis who need justification.

YOu should have seen the discussion. The muslim tired to help another muslim who took a beating from me I was helped by a Jewish woman (they didn't know she was). They couln't win the discussion about the war-mongering in the koran, so he decided to go that way.

But when I trashed his 'why Christians should support Palis' he strted to shout about the 9/11 attacks and I thanked him for proving me right that islam is militant.

Never heard of him again>

This is another great mystery to me. Why do greenie, left-wing atheists think that the Palestinians, or the Iraqis, or the Islamic thugs roaming European cities are their *allies?*

Don't the leftists realize that they would be among the first to be killed under "Islamic law?" How many "leftists" do they think there are in Saudi Arabia?

There is a book called 'Why I am not a muslim' by Ibn Warraq. It gives such an answer. The apologists for islam make other people believe their intentions are only peaceful. They even manage to convince people after the islamic militants kill off infidels. People believe them, because they are unable to think for themselves and search for the truth themselves.

That way the left managed to grab power in Europe. They lie and manage to convince people it's in their interests. They do that by claiming they represent the majority of people.

Most apologists of islam (the non-muslims) mostly never actualy seen a koran, but they pretend to know all. And because most people also don't know what's in it, they believe them.

Iraq owes the EU money, and the Euros seem to like dictators. Stalin, Lenin, Saddam name 'em. It's like the Oslo-syndrome, where people started to sypathize with their captors, completly forgetting who are the good or bad guys.

I've seen Warraq's book advertised but haven't bought it (yet.)

Sometimes it seems like lefty apologists for militant Islam are just suicidal... You know, like those people who are always preaching that the human race should just go extinguish itself.

Thanks for your explanation.
