Ganske-Salier primary race tighter than expected

In my internal polling with friends who are Republican that live in Iowa - It's Salier by a landslide. I agree with you that Ganske will get DM but I am not sure about the SW and NW counties. I think Salier is Iowa's version of Bill Simon. (See CA Governor race) As for the Governors race Gross and Vanderplatts seem to be the leaders even though Sukup has spent a fortune on ads. Also it is curious that the U of I President leaves for Michigan. I think she sees the writing on the wall.

Salier was down here a couple of weeks ago, his strategy is that in the metro areas if he can split 50/50 or close to that with Ganske, the rural areas where is main base is will carry him.

I certainly hope Salier can pull this off. I think a fresh face would be a nightmare for Tom "Dungheap" Harkin.

Local news is reporting same numbers as bigjoesaddle 60% Ganske, 40% Salier, less around 40% reporting.
