Rules of Engagement: Before you start shooting the bastards…

By J.J. Johnson

Published 06. 1. 02 at 23:37 Sierra Time

xxx Hey, it’s been a busy week and, like many others, I wanted to see the fallout from the FBI’s so-called house cleaning before opening my mouth about the whole mess. Let’s put it into perspective: the FBI first admits ‘we can’t protect you’, then leaks of a major Sept 11 screw up, then getting called on it by one of their own, resulting in the Justice Department giving the green light for a return to the Co-Intel-Pro days, and the FBI the power to treat all of America like one big militia/eco-terrorist group. Some of you out there are thinking this is the last straw, and you’re ready to tell Claire Wolfe, “To hell with your schedule – it’s time to start shooting the bastards”. Well, before you slap on the cammo paint, listen up:

Why throw in the towel at a time when your families, your community, your country may need you the most? You're making the mistake of thinking your government has gone totally insane, and that New World Order is coming soon to a town near you. That’s where you’re wrong. Washington has gone over the deep end, but regardless what side of the political fence you stand on, if you even think this is your government in Washington, then we’d all better go find a rock to hide under.

You are the government in this country – not them. For our folks, our Rule Book tells us we’ve already won (it has been written). Our job is to have faith – and prepare.

A little lesson from this week: When we all heard of Boulder (Hoover) Dam being abruptly closed due to a ‘terrorist’ threat, life in Southern Nevada stopped. Here at the ranch, we went into immediate stand by mode – firing up the generator and making plans for evasive actions. You see, we figured we might not want to be around lots of very scared and desperate people in 110 degree heat with no electricity in three states.

When it comes to this “war or terrorism” you now have a choice of threats: Mecca or Washington, D.C. Point is, we’ve still got a target painted on our foreheads, and we’ve got to deal with it. Perhaps it’s time to lay off the bitch sessions and silly attempts to wake up the un-washed. If this thing gets ugly, Washington has already told you they can’t save you, and may not even be able to enforce their will over anyone outside themselves. At that point, what do we do?

Seriously. It’s being reported that even Washington is making plans for what to do if …they are not able to perform their ‘duties’ in the Nation’s Capital. Are we doing that as well, or are we just fussing, forgetting that our founders told us it was government’s natural tendency to squirm out of any constitutional straight jacket they were in?

Fine. That crazy desert black guy is on his soapbox again while the world is falling apart around us – and he doesn’t have the guts to tell us to start shooting. He’s chicken. He’s a wuss. He can’t see the big picture...

Here’s the big picture: You want to start shooting? Fine. You don’t need me or anyone else to give you the order. You are your own soldier in this war. But keep in mind -- even though no one will give you an order, your actions may determine what happens to the rest of us after you are dead or in jail, and don’t be surprised if everyone you think you're fighting for doesn’t rally around your cause after you go off half cocked.

Do America a favor: Don’t do the bad guy any favors right now, ok? A more noble mission awaits.

Instead, I think we’d be a lot more productive channeling that energy into going into complete survival mode. That means the gear, the backup systems, and the bug out plans. Folks, I’ve been saying it for years: Our infrastructure is being held together by bubble gum, paper clips and most of all – the Grace of God Almighty. Let’s hope for the best, and start preparing for the worst.

Got any spare cash lying around? Maybe that portfolio? Start thinking GOLD.

Stop buying anything you don’t NEED right now. EVERYTHING should be going into long term survival.

For goodness sake – STOP WATCHING THAT DAMN TELEVISION. Remember September 11? Most of us just sat glued to that television as if watching it was going to make everything better. It isn't going to happen, so turn that boob-tube off and get to work. In fact, let’s start spending the weekends full time getting ready. Let’s do that until this war is over, or we have to pick up the piece of what’s left.

We’ve talked before about developing alternative energy and communication networks. A few ideas have come in. We need more. Don’t whine to me about these new federal powers. Unless I’m mistaken, Real Americans know if the FBI didn’t already have that power, they were sure acting like it anyway. And rather than waste time talking about what screw ups these guys are, well… I’ll just give a short list of the FBI investigative accomplishments:

Ruby Ridge

World Trade Center 1993

Waco

Jeronimo (in jail 27 years on false testimony)

DelaBeckwith (ditto)

Murrah Building bombing

Missing files

Wen Ho Lee

Missing computers

Missing SUV (with guns inside)

TWA Flight 800

Richard Jewell

The McVeigh Papers

Eric Rudolph

Computer downtime during gun shows

And all the stupid sting operations throwing good Americans in jail while bragging about how they were stopping terrorists while IGNORING the REAL ONES!

And that’s just off the top of my head. With that kind of a track record, what makes you think the FBI being turned into a modern-day KGB is going to make you any safer?

C’mon people – THINK. With all these government alarms going up, how long do you think this economy is going to hold up with folks scared to do anything? We’re terrorizing ourselves. No sense telling most of this audience to head for the hills. Most of you already live there.

If you don’t, I’d suggest getting there – as soon as possible. You see, I am NOT an idealist. I am NOT a theorist. I am a realist.

What do we do when things begin to fall apart? I believe too many people still have some faint hope that the government will come to its senses. But we need to come to OUR senses. If we do it right, those that want to survive will follow. We need to believe we can do it, envision the end results of this process, and work towards a goal.

If the electricity goes out, how will you keep your food fresh? What will happen at your job? What will you do if there is no water supply? If the mail stops, the trucks, planes trains, and mail service stops running, what will you do? If the phone lines stop working, how to we communicate? Even a limited nuclear exchange could start a currency devaluation faster than the World Trade Center collapse. What would we do as an alternative?

If you don’t have a real answer to these questions, I’d suggest holstering that shootin' iron until you do - cause it won't do you a damn bit of good until we start sorting out some priorities. That’s what this country needs more than ever – to become self –sufficient. If we are not doing this, it might be time better spent than just fussing and agonizing over the whole mess. Don’t expect the Office of Homeland Security to drop off these plans on your doorstep. Real Americans are the ONLY ones than can put such a plan together.

If you think that our southern border needs protection, there is no excuse not to enforce it yourself. The U.S. Border Patrol and local law enforcement is begging for help, let’s not even discuss the INS, and what jury would convict anyone anyway?

How do we protect America? Pilots, Truckers, and Railroad engineers should all arm themselves while on duty. If you get fired for it, watch the outrage that will happen once word of that gets out.

We have History as our guide. How did mankind survive without all this technology? What if we went back to a 19th century life style – WITH all the technology we have today? Answer:: We’d be free again, or at least give the next generation a chance. I’m not a monetary expert, but could coins be used to replace paper money for trading if the bottom falls out? I’ve heard folks talk of using ammunition. Is it possible? Can some agreements be worked out before hand – without Alan Greenspan’s approval? If so, let’s get working on it. Let’s make sure our people have the items they need to survive, or a way to get it to them. Don’t say it can’t be done. We’re Americans, aren’t we?

Let us not let the diminishing faith in government cause a loss of faith in ourselves.

And to the government officials: Yes, I hope you are reading this. It wouldn’t surprise me in the least if some of you thought this article was some statement to try to overthrow the government. Here’s a newsflash for you: As far as many of us are concerned, this government was ‘overthrown’ long ago, and it’s become more apparent every day that we have no control over you, and to be honest – we don’t want to control you. We want to be left alone.

We will get out of your way while you do what you can to protect yourselves. We don’t blame you. So excuse us while we do the same for our families and our future. Trying to label Real Americans as the Real Threat will only prove the continuing incompetence that has become apparent to all of us. Frankly, I don’t think you government folks even know how to trust or work with anyone outside your own ranks. You will continue to think the threat is internal, while ignoring the external threats, refusing to even look at your own flaws – with the rest of us waiting for the next shoe to drop.

Prepare ourselves, America. Even if nothing happens, we’ll still be better off in the long run. We are the soldiers in this war. We have neither the time or need for orders from Washington or anyone else. Prepare like Washington may not be around to give any orders. That's what they're doing. We have to have the faith, commitment and courage to do what’s right for this nation and our posterity. No more finger pointing. No more whining. No more gnashing of teeth in anger. We have a job to do. We have a nation to save.

This is real. This is war. These are the Rules of Engagement.

Good article. And many of us have already figured this out. But the ones who haven't will soon start the "Survivalist KooKs" chants that they think are derogatory.

I hope their government takes as good care of them as they deserve.

Imagine living in a city full of crazy dumbed down liberals. Might better tail it out of the city and don't look back. Let the liberals "cleanse" themselves.

Prepare ourselves, America. Even if nothing happens, we’ll still be better off in the long run.

Wow. That's just what the Bible says. " A wise man hears of trouble comming, and prepares for it. If that trouble does not arrive, he is still much better off because of it."

On another thread...
Report: Al Qaeda Tells U.S. to Get Ready for Attack.
What timing!

We've always been sufficient enough to live off the grid. It comes from stories of the great depression. If it happened once, it could happen again.
I'm sure there's something important we probably overlooked, but it is better than none.
The scary part is comming from a large family who has learned to have faith in a man made system. Our place would be full in no time.

I am as prepared as I can be.

My medical conditions require that I remain near a large city. Unfortunately so does my job.

If and when the balloon goes up, I'll be there. I don't know how long I'll last.

But advising people to simply 'head for the hills' and live off the land, survivalist-like, doesn't work--at least for me.

Unfortunately, I'm with you. As if Buttcrack, Mississippi isn't already in the sticks; medically and financially, I simply can't make for the hills. If we get nuked, I hope I'm at the center of the blast--don't like the idea of dying slowly. Otherwise, I'll fight to my last bullet and breath for my republic. It may not be much, but I'll give all I have in her defense.

Right here you go folks. Texans can click *here* and *everyone else can check it out *here.*. If you can't come down to the border area there are other ways you can assist, give it a click and check it out.

And if the US government completely throws in the towel and caves in to the Mexican invaders, selling out the citizens to foreign interests [hey, a multinational globalist oilman would never do that, right?] You can go *here* or *here*

The admission by the administration; "we can't save you" - is, or should be startling. It's a low-key wake-up alarm that is being muffled. They, the governmental and in-the-know private voices are stating new terrorist attacks are, "when" and not "if". The next logical post-disaster statements will be: "We told you so". The statement should be: " 'WHEN' it happens, you're on you own, be prepared!"

If one considers the very recent decisions on "the Right OF THE PEOPLE to own and bear arms", coupled with - "we can't save you", perhaps the light bulbs of survival will go on. It should be clear that the same Administration is giving two relatively quick back-to-back warnings:
1. we cannot save you, and a timely follow-up of
2. you have the Constitutional Right to defend yourself (and our Nation), by bearing arms

"WHEN", what is feared happens, i.e, another September 11th, I am sure J.J. Johnson's article (above) will be finally digested. Even the "do for me" nanny-staters continually calling for "closure" (for somebody else) may wake-up and smell the falout. Somebody can draw chalk lines around those still slumbering.

Many of us got good practice preparing for Y2K, and were called kooks. That was OK, we were grateful nothing major happened! But we did get practice, and some us still have our Y2K "equipment" waiting if we should need it.

I will never regret prepping for Y2K!

I guess the Government is taking the Presidential oath to heart. "To Preserve, Protect and defend the Constitution" only its the written document, not the spirit of the words that they are going to save! "Grab the paper! Phuck the People!"

"We are the soldiers in this war."

I got my gun, but the gov't doesn't want me carrying it around. I can only guard my home, but that right may be subject to dispute by the 3-letter agencies.

Many think they could and should prepare to fight off a standing army or orgnanized police attack on them.....won't happen, IMHO. "Problem areas" will probably be dealt with overwhelmingly, or not at all. My way of thinking is to go outside and turn off the power and water and gas to the house and then consider how you will heat, cool, cook, clean, toilet, waste, stay aware of local and national events, light, protect and heal your families ills, etc, etc, etc. Those concerns will be far more prevalent and frequent than the few incidents where you might have to have the will, the training, and the tools for mortal combat.

So think about:

The 'blue-helmet' target practice will come in handy... for tapping a few rabbits for dinner much more often that pushing back oppressive forces. Those Y2K preparations we 'kooks' went through were a great practice run.
