He is. Why, uh, do you say he's not? It's easier for incumbents to get more press than challengers. That's magnified even more if it's a Republican challenger. Heck, let Simon continue to raise funds (he's gonna need them) while Grayout Davis continues to shoot himself in the foot.

As Reno stumbles along, Bush campaigns like a man 10 points behind in the polls. The GOP not only wants to beat her -- that's a given -- they want to destroy her and end the Democratic rebellion in Florida that almost cost George W. the election.

They want the aftershock of a landslide to carry through to 2004, maybe even 2006 if Jeb decides to take out Bill Nelson.

If I were a betting man, I'd say they want Jeb Bush to run for President in 2008 as a very strong candidate from a state with a lot of electoral votes.

The irony is that this "royal family" of the United States offers far more substance and dignity than the royal family of Great Britain.
