Memphis' Mayor Herenton, like Mrs. Clinton, has a tin ear for politics, no patience for those who won't toe the party line, and no discernible sense of humor or humility. As far as I can tell, his chief claims to fame so far have been awarding the key to the city to Louis Farrakhan and bringing Mike Tyson to town.
Former governor Ned McWherter, a Democrat, instituted TennCare, Hillary's health care plan on a smaller scale, at the urging of the Clintons. The result? Finances are in such a mess that a Republican governor is calling for a state income tax.
Take Tennessee's situation and multiply it by fifty, and that's a pretty good indication of what President Hillary! would have in store.
