"Not once does the idea of privatizing forest land"

HT, Nah. The bureaucrats couldn't ask for MORE money that way. But, they ARE encouraging a bit of "privatizing". The National Conservancy is on their list of privateers {once{?} known as government sponsored pirates}. Peace and love, George.

I so agree. But Bosworth does have a point with the "analysis paralysis", yet to whom do we give control back too? Back to private is my idea way, yet....there are those that are truely greedy and would cut them all down, and that is something I would fight hard against....I wish that when the trees were cut, that hardwoods would be replanted, not just all the different kinds of pines..now with that said, all the diseased and dead trees should be harvasted asap, except for some, that does return to the earth a need.

But I so admit to not knowing awhole heck of a lot on timbering, just going on emotion and so admit that! :-)
