See, this is what I don't get. He wanted to extend amnesty for those who's permits expired- documented people, not a bunch of border jumpers. Didn't say I agreed with it though.
You are quite misinformed. Section 245(i) of the Immigration and Nationality Act specifically sates at the very beginning,
"entered the United States without inspection". That my friend is a border jumper.
100% of all 245(i) applicants are currently in a criminal status.
