I think the judge understands that their life style leads to lots of "reasonable doubt" questions; he was pretty open to the questioning and Mr Van Dam handled it very poorly with his indignation and no regrets. If Mrs. Van Dam does the same thing in the next few days (It's hard to use the terms Mr. and Mrs. in this case) the jury is going to start asking lots of soul searching questions of themselves.

If a couple is this amoral, could they also be into incest and sexual child abuse? What about their drug dealing friends? any perverts there? How hard would it be to plant evidence in the RV? Are the other children in danger?

I did not watch it but would love to. It is not televised in Los Angeles.

I think the parents are contemptable for their lifestyle which (I think) subjects the children to more risk than a "normal" family. I do not approve of the Van Dam's lifestyle and I think it harms their children. BUT, it is certainly possible (if not probable) that the parents were lowlifes and some creep (Westerfield) abducted their daughter, raped and strangled her. IF Westerfield was not a part of their "swinging" group, and even Westerfield does not say he swung with the Van Dams, then these are two seperate reprehesible incidents. Let's get Danielle's killer first.

John, one of the impressions I came away with after hearing DVD, is not only was he lying and doing all he could to avoid answering questions, but even when the worst of the worst of the day, was finally revealed, I still got the very strong impression that there is much more being withheld.

I don't know the why and I can only imagine what it might be, but I hope after all witnesses have testified, that Feldman has DVD back on the stand as a hostile witness.

If it is proven that DW is guilty, I would like to see whatever it might be, that it appears - to me - is being suppressed, brought to light, before DW or, whoever takes that long walk.
