Ever since I heard our President's speech, I've been thinking how reassuring it must have been for all Americans. Kinda like a big sigh of relief after all the frightening news about terrorism. Like Daddy will take care of us scared kids.

I'm so glad he said to call our congresscritters because that should point up to the reluctant voters how important it is to give the President the support of Congress. Let's hope they remember it in the fall.

Also, CNN played his speech on radio in its entirety, and kept playing parts of it for the rest of the day. That's good! The sheeple might actually have heard it. The libs will now say that Dubya was forced to do it because of THEIR questioning the 9/11 attack! It's our job to tell them that Dubya asked for this, as patriciaruth said, in his speech right after 9/11.

Not just a Bush Bot, she's a Bush Botticelli!

Here's a link to a bio and some works of the Renaissance artist.

One of Botticelli's more interesting pieces. His depiction of the Virgin Mary is quite different from those of his peers.

Here is his amazing vision of the Democrats at this afternoon's Senate circus(I think he and Nostradamus hung out some).

Thanks again for these soothing Bush threads.

Maybe I'm wrong then, I couldn't listen to Rush today. I was assuming the clip they played on NBC was in response to the speech, rather than before. The part they played was positive towards the proposal, however.

Yeah - they had one of California Gov. Grey-out Davis' top aides on the local radio station after Bush's speach, and even he was quite supportive of this, going on about he had been working with Tom Ridge's office the last six months and they had been very helpful. There was hardly a negative remark in the whole thing. It was strange to hear a liberal Democratic operative talking that way.

PETA alert

I heard a PETA babe on the radio tonight and I hereby issue a BARF alert: PETA thinks we should eat roadkill if we insist on eating meat. Otherwise we should become vegetarians. Is that insane or am I overreacting???? They were somewhere on a street corner handing out samples. EEuuuwww!

The libs were doing that even before Bush spoke. Dan Rather came on the radio for some daily little editorial piece he does, and after going on about all the problems being uncovered in the workings of the FBI, CIA and other parts of the administration, finished his bit noting that and then on the very same day, Bush decides to make a recommendation that the Office of Homeland Security be made a Cabinet level position, or some words like that. The insinuation being quite clear that Bush was trying to distract everyone from the troubles being exposed in his administration.

Yeah...that's more than a little weird. You'd think they would be all over what caused the roadkill to begin with, and not what to do once it's happened. Well...thinking with THEIR brains, anyway.
