when a real powergrabbing liberal gets ahold of this power - we'll regret itWhat, conservatives are immune to the effects of craving and possessing power?

I noticed that President Bush went out of his way to assure us this was NOT an expansion of government, but a consolidation. He has heard us and I'm glad. It might also be a slick way to get around those nasty clintoon appointees. All of a sudden, they'll have bosses - GW Bush's people. It could be sweet!

That's exactly what hit me with this reorganization -- weed out the clintonites! It is a perfect way to get rid of them without all the hassles of trying to fire them! Now if there was a way to weed out a certain Senator from NY, the plan would be perfect!

Thanks for the ping....watched all of it. Once again our Ppresident has demonstrated his superb leadership....let's all email our Reps & Senators asking them to support his plan!

What about the NSA are they under the umbrella as well?

Thanks for reminding everyone to contact their Senators and Reps.
Everytime I think of FL though, I think of Sen Graham's reply to you all on the Tax Cuts -- he made no sense with his email. Will be looking forward to his comments this time!

I hear Mark Levin was on Alan Keyes tonight saying this will only create a bigger bureaucracy. I expect Keyes to oppose most everything Bush does but Levin is a surprise. Wonder if Rush will oppose it tommorow.

"Reorganizing our government makes a lot of a sense. In the private sector, I'm used to seeing it every five years or so, and sometimes more often than that. We have to adapt to changing conditions." Sounds promising...if we're gonna do like the private sector, how 'bout down-sizing while we're at it?!

"Clinton left a lot of Senior Executive Service (SES) positions filled in supervisory positions in the various agencies. This reorganization should do away with a lot of those positions and thus a lot of clintonites will be able to spend "More Time With Their Family!" " That would be wonderful...MUD

Thanks! Bump!

Maybe these folks should have read his speech and comprehended what he was saying before making comments. This is actually going to streamline and get rid of a lot of Senior Executive Service types with large salaries as they combine agencies. Bet Rush is against this too! These talking heads seem to be making themselves more irrelevant by the day!
To: PhiKapMom
Thanks.... I've been looking for the following in this speech text and can't seem to find it, can you help?

I am watching President Bush giving a speech on CNN telling us he is expanding federal government more than any Democrat since Truman.
Thanks for your help

When I first heard about this -- it was my first thought! I know in DoD that is how they get rid of SES's -- reorganize! Would imagine when this is all over there will be less people working in Homeland Security than they had in their individual agencies. And a lot of those will be clintonites who hold a lot of the SES positions!
To: PhiKapMom
Thanks so much for posting this, PhiKapMom.
Sounds great.

Does it really matter as they seem to be the 1%ers or so at this time. Even the Congress is talking postitive about it even though I know they will throw many stones in the road when and as it gets closer to being done. I suspect the public will approve of this approach no matter what the few pundits say that rip the President.
