Maryland Republican Party Chairman Michael Steele has asked the state Court of Appeals to begin criminal contempt proceedings against four Democratic state senators who contacted judges about redistricting while the court was hearing lawsuits over the new legislative map.

The state Republican Party also has asked the court to appoint Anne Arundel County State's Attorney Frank Weathersbee, a Democrat, to begin a grand jury investigation.

"Mr. Steele yesterday said the public has a right to know what was said and what transpired when state Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller Jr. and state Sens. Ida G. Ruben of Montgomery County, Ulysses Currie of Prince George's County and Clarence Blount, who represents Baltimore, contacted four of seven judges to talk about redistricting."

Let's hope that Mr. Steele prevails.

I can't imagine any judge in Maryland ruling against any Democrat. Have the Pubs totally lost it?

Maryland GOP Chairman Mike Steele is kicking butt. These Democrat fat cats definitely deserve it. (Sen. Mike Miller (D) moved his District lines to include his new waterfront mansion in Calvert County. He thinks he's king.)

We have to be just as ruthless, dirty etc as the Democrats.

And it will look like the GOP only wants justice.

From Walker, Texas Ranger.

What are you looking for, Walker? Revenge? Retribution?

Walker: I'm looking for justice.

Have you totally lost it yourself?! This week AARLC(myself and my state rep) will be sitting down with Chairman Steele and backing him 100% in this! We already know this is going to end up in a federal court, but if we don't go after these losers then GOPers like yourself will say we lack balls here in Maryland to do something about the massive Democrat Machine. Change has always started with one person.
