I was in London while my husband was calling on clients there and I can tell you, I spent every day out sight-seeing with cabbies as my guides.

I cannot say enough about how charming, professional and trustworthy those cabbies are! They spend two years training for their jobs, and their gentle spirits are evident.

One told me how his pal found a lady's purse, containing a large amount of cash and how he tracked her and returned it - much to her delight. These men are fantastic!

Now we know how we get the title "Ugly American" with a slob like Woody running around making a fool of himself.

Beware of the gypsy cabs in London, the real ones are all Metrocabs and quite distinctive, and and your point out, the service is superior.

Yes indeed. My wife and I had the privilege of watching him strut his celebrity status at the Hotel Del Coronado a year or two ago.
He demonstrated the fine art of "Cavorting" . Trailed by his entourage,and assorted sycophants he was quite a spectacle. A real Joe Hollywood.
