The tinfoil hats have been way ahead of the curve for some time. Tinfoilers know when the name calling starts, the argument is spot on.

Richard Armitage was meeting with the ISI the entire week and the day of 9/11....the same fellow that sent Atta his money...what kind of coincidence is that?

ISI Chief Lt. General Ahmed was in D.C. on the 4th and met with Richard Armitage on the 12th and 13th. Likewise he met with Joseph Biden on those two days, and on the 13th he held a long discussion at the State Department. Prior to 9/11 it was well known within the Departments of Defense and State, and in the intelligence committees on the Hill that the ISI was riven by loyalties. A strong cabal of Islamist officers had supported the Taliban and Al Qaida and had done so since the early 1980s, and years before the CIA made its appearance along the Afghan-Pak frontier. Even before 9/11 the Americans were actively involved in pushing the reduction of the Islamist presence in the ISI, something that Musharraf has undertaken -- not as fast as some want, but at great personal risk to himself.
