I don't feel like contributing today. ~~~ Wait until you see "Unable to locate server"
I don't have money. ~~~ Help with the fundraiser. Bump the threads, ping your FRiends.
There's plenty of time to donate. ~~~ Bill collectors don't see it that way.
I don't know where to contribute. ~~~ Credit card, mail: FreeRepublic, LLC, PO BOX 9771, FRESNO, CA 93794 , Paypal: JimRob@psnw.com
I've got too many other things to do first. ~~~ Don't we all?
I can't contribute much, what's five dollars. ~~~ If everyone contributed one dollar a month, we'd never have a fundraiser again.
The dog ate my credit card. ~~~ Shoot the dog.
Just let me finish freeping. ~~~ BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

Don't wait until it's too late. Do it today. Do it now! Free Republic is funded solely by us. It's up to us to keep it running. Do your part, contribute if you can. Bump the fundraising threads. Help keep this place alive!

A BTT - consider the feeling you get when the server's temporarily down. Arrested breathing, heart palpitations, splinters in the hands from beating on the keyboard in frustration...

Remember a few weeks ago when FR was down for HOURS!?

Do you remember how empty and lost you felt?

Sure --- there were other places to go. Free Dominion was a haven for many, (bless Freedomers!!), and there was always Yahoo -- but it wasn't till FR was back in the swing that we all felt that we were home again.

Let's keep the home fires burning with a little help from your pockets. Free Republic is worth it!!

If everyone who was registered donated $1 a month, we'd never have to have a fund raiser

Exactly. I am a monthly donator/subscriber/whatever...

And, on the question "to FREEP or not to FREEP?" Not FREEP? Is that possible? I think that I could get off of crack cocaine easier than I could stop FREEPing.

DISCLAIMER: No, I am not actually on crack cocaine.

Well, after a quick visit HERE my wallet is lighter but my conscience is clear. Well, in this matter, at least. Nothing like a clear conscience. For a REALLY big donation you get a clear complexion, too...

BTTT Calling all good Washington FReepers - be you into activism, luncheons, or just hanging out on the deck eating strawberrries as you give the "All Clear" salute during terrorist watch duties on the sound... It is time to support what we love. A $5 gift from every FReeper would fulfill our goal x5! Your gift counts, even a small gift counts. Give $5 dollars (or more) today every FReeper from WA and lets "get on the map!"

Without freerepublic, I would probably get more work done while at my computer, and I wouldn't be getting the chuckles I do after seeing some of the replies.

Oh! A whole brand new clean thread, YEA! I just posted to the old one.

Really annoyed me that people are e-mailing Jim questioning what it costs to run this place. I don't see any of them putting up their own site, monitoring it day and night, constantly writing and re-writing the software to make sure it's the most cutting edge site on the web. I don't see them paying for the bandwidth, or standing up for the Constitution in the lawsuit with WP and LAT. I don't see them taking the risks that Jim has had to take just to make sure that we all have a place to come and learn, discuss, cuss, rant, reflect, inspire, uplift, laugh, cry and do all the other things that Freepers do here daily.

FreeRepublic is unique. The site reflects those of us who come here and support it. And I'm darned proud to support it.
