I'm not convinced the jury is going to have doubts because of what the defense and prosecution 'let out of the bag'. Juries really are unpredictable.

One of the original rumors was that Bren & Co would go out trolling for takers as it were. That will be what some of Feldman's witnesses will say. In his opening he said there will be wits to testify that both men and women were solicited for the purposes of entertaining Damon.

My estimation of CTV went up one tiny notch when I watched part of the early morning commentary. There were two men, and they actually used their brains and common sense...then the bimbos came on, and in TWO sentences, they already had given out INCORRECT information. (Said the carpet fibers MATCHED, not were similar.)

Remember a while back, I asked for everyone to send their questions in? Well, let's take a look at them again...have any been answered yet?

Did anyone actually testify to blood in or around the van Dams house, or was that just the defense attorney? What about the finger prints in the RV?

Danielle was alive in there? How long? Was she alive in there at 9:30 the following morning, when DW left for the beach?

While a full scale investigation was going on?

Why just one or two Danielle prints in the RV? Were others wipped off by DW?

Why take a blood stained jacket to the cleaners? He had two days. Why not get rid of it?

Why not clean the porn pictures from your hard drive? DW does not act like a murderer trying to cover up.

Can someone just become a child rapist and killer at age 50? Wouldn't there be something leading up to it, some other crimes?

Did Danielle go into the garage the evening of February 1?

Was Danielle or anyone else injured, enough so that they bled profusely in and around the garage, and up the stairs of the home?

How come the VD home wasn't closed off?

What DNA evidence was found in her room and in the RV

Will the VD's testify?

How much does it matter if the luminol would destroy DNA? Especially if they found a spot missed by the cleaner...(westerfield)

Were the showers luminoled?

When did westerfield clean the RV? Before he parked it at his business sunday or saturday and WHERE did he clean it?

Witness statements...what are the guest statements?

Did the vacuum and contents get confiscated for trace evidence?

how much blood was found in the stairway and where?

What 'stairwell' had blood traces ? Basement, upstairs, what ?

Were the sink/shower traps in the VD house removed?

Did Damon "clean" the area, before going to bed, (after the 3:30 A.M. time told the PD and AMW)?

Did he vacuum prior to the arrival of the Police?

If there was a much blood evidence present, as the detective has eluded to. Then why did the VD's put the charade on that

why drag a dead body?

How many people, with the knowledge and/or consent of the Van Dams or other persons answering their door, were in the Van Dam home for any period however brief,...between 9 PM on Feb. 1 and 10 AM on Feb. 2?

Is WESTERFIELD awol and how important is it to this case?

Is westerfield being set up because the VD's live an alternative lifestyle?

Are the Van Dam's guests on the night of the abduction cooperating fully with investigators and is their identity on the public record?

where were the VD's between the time of mom's return home from the bar and the time company left.

Who were the people with the VD's who came from the bar.

Were their backgrounds checked.

Do they know Westerfield

When did daddy VD put Danielle to bed

When, if at all, did they notice that the alarm system showed an open door, etc.

If they did notice something what did they do about it.

If they did nothing, why not?

When did they notice her missing.

If the VD's were involved in swinging, could they provide lists of people they "swung" with, or were they random encounters?

Did the police question or run checks on all known partners.

Did they tell their "partners" about having kids in the home?

What led the cops to Westerfield?

What was in the SW for Westerfields house and van?

Once and for all, were there any witnesses that put Westerfield and mom VD dancing at the club the night of the abduction.

Were Westerfields prints in the home, and if so where?

Have the parents phone records been checked?

Has Westerfields phone records been checked?

How could the searchers have missed the body the first time?

How close did they come to this area? From the descriptions, how could anybody be within 25 feet and not notice it?

Have police examined all the trash (noticeable on TV) from that area? (I want to know what dates they come up with for when the trash was dumped there).

This new blood outside the VDs ... whose? how much? how old? lotsa possibilities here

As of this point, you can bet that the Jury is wondering just WHO should be on trial here.

I said, as of this point...because there as been not one shred of evidence linking DW to Danielle or the house presented...yet. Oh, he bought GS cookies, LOL!

Spec, we're going to have to wait and see, because if the prosecutor is holding back what he has from the public..it's obvious that that critical piece of evidence, if indeed there is one or some, obviously outweighs the weirdsome foursome testimony.

Are you watching courttv? A dude just said that there is a case before the Supreme court...trying to decide whether or not finger print evidence CAN BE USED (in FBI investigations). Oh man, just thinking about the consequences of that decision if reversed. (finger prints on weapons etc)

Can you all just IMAGINE what we might have heard, had Judge Mudd not sheltered the Van Dams from ALL the evidence about their years of sleaze...?

That's been discussed here on FR in recent weeks. The main problem is that forensics only collects partial prints and poor quality ones sometimes -- some subjectivity enters in how those partials are coded, and sometimes a coding errors occur, in addition to chain of custody, recording keeping issues. A related problem is that courts and people tend to take fingerprints and fringerprint experts as gospel without continual testing and extrenal certification -- lack of rigor has caused the system to sag.

Alot of that has to do with the LACK of standards in fingerprinting and the lack of qualified ridgeologists. There appears to be a signifcant number of ridgeologists who fail tests annually and are permitted to continue their work. There have been threads about it, as a matter of fact, Miz posted one.

This is amazing..I guess that would not include those in which computers matches up..this must have to do with ''new'' prints. As far as other threads about it, I'm not seeing that title on my "list" of threads... thanks

It never dawned on me that prints that don't match can actually be misinterpreted. ????? How hard is it to see that ''curls, curves and lines" don't match.
