And our RINO leftist Gov. Taft will sign in a 31c increase here in Ohio (he wanted 50c). I can't count the people I know that regularly go to the Mountaineer in WV for some casino action. I suspect they will bring home a nice supply from WV or neighboring KY; even PA will be cheaper.

Yep. People will figure out a way. I go to WV once a week and save $ 20.00 on cig's and gas. In fact, I will make that 5 mile trek again today. The Maryland house was warned about this before they passed this tax increase, but they thought they knew best. Now the small convienence stores are losing up to 30% of their business. Several years ago this same Gov raised taxes on business's and soon found out that big business's could relocate in another state, rather than get shook down. Kelly Springfield and many other large companies left MD.

This is one Ohio resident who has had enough of RINO and Democrat/socialist greed. I started buying my smokes online last week. Orders of more than five cartons get free shipping. Marlboros here are retaining for $3.45 a pack, which will go to $3.76 ($37.60 per carton) when Taft's tax goes into effect. I get them for $26.99 per carton online. Not only will they not get the extra $3.10 per carton from me, but this also cost them the $2.40 per carton that they were getting up until now. I actively encourage friends and aquantances who smoke to do the same. The greed of the governor and legeslature will cost them more than they will profit.
